    Thank you, because we are so high in the mountains, there are flash floods, so at times the river is only ankle-deep to chest deep, but after a rain it becomes a few meters deep and is moving too fast to be safe for swimming. I've seen the river go from calm and swimmable to a dangerous torrent in 15 minutes.
