Hello everyone.
How are you? I hope everyone is well and healthy. My story today started at 6:00 am when I got up to prepare my things and woke up my eldest daughter to get dressed for school. Today I was in a particularly rush. After sending my daughter to school at 7:00 am, I went straight to the morning market. I rushed to buy breakfast to eat at home and to pack a lunch box to take to the hospital. Today I had to take my youngest daughter to get her heart checked as advised by the doctor. When I got home, I prepared water and food in containers. Then I ate the food I bought and rushed to wake up my youngest daughter. Then I took a shower and got dressed, and got ready to leave at 9:00 am. It took us about an hour to drive to the heart specialist hospital. This hospital is a government hospital, so there are many poor people who come here. Yes, treating heart disease costs a lot of money. For the rich, if they have heart disease, they can go to a private hospital for treatment without worrying about the cost. But for the poor people, they come to this hospital in large numbers. When I arrived at 10 o'clock, there was not enough parking space for the people who came to use the service, so I noticed cars parked on both sides of the road for a long time. My husband drove into the hospital to send me and my daughter to submit the documents first. After that, we drove to find a parking lot, which took quite a long time, and the parking lot was on the side of the road, which was very far away, almost a kilometer away.
After getting the queue card, we walked to the 3rd floor, which is a specialty for children's heart disease examination. We saw many adults, and I asked my husband what diseases they were examining on this floor. Haha, I shouldn't have asked because this is a hospital that specializes in heart disease. They must have come to check their hearts for sure. Yes, the 2nd floor is a specialty for adults' heart disease examination, and there were many patients and their relatives waiting in front of the door. Because there was no place to stand and wait inside. I looked and saw that most of the elderly people had heart disease. I thought that the chances of children having heart disease were very low. But overall, there are many cases of heart disease patients in Malaysia and other places as well.
When it was my daughter's turn to see the doctor. First, they weighed her and checked her pulse. After that, we didn't have to wait long for the doctor to call us because today, there were only a few patients in the pediatric department, which was different from a few months ago when I came to this hospital. That day, there were many families bringing their children to check their heart disease. After seeing the doctor, the results of the heart disease were checked. The scan showed that my daughter was a little scared, so we comforted her and didn't let go of her. After the doctor scanned for a while, he explained to us that now my daughter's heart was bigger, but the hole was still the same size. He also explained about the red and blue colors that the doctor could see clearly when scanning. The doctor explained that if there were a lot of blue spots, that was air, which was very bad for the heart. However, my daughter was quite okay and my husband asked about the heart surgery schedule, and the doctor gave him an appointment slip for another 7 months, or if the doctor called to inform us in advance, we could go for the surgery immediately. The doctor recommended 2 methods to treat the heart disease: 1. Connect the tube through the front of the leg. My daughter is quite small, so the doctor was not sure. So the doctor had to try inserting the tube through the front of the leg. If it didn't work, the doctor explained that the surgery would have to be done on the chest. We were a little worried because my daughter is a girl. Therefore, in the future, she will definitely have a large scar. Both of these treatments have an equal risk of infection.
After finishing talking with the doctor. The doctor has already written the appointment form and it is time to travel home. It is now almost noon. It was time for my eldest daughter to return home, so today I asked my father-in-law to help pick up my eldest daughter from school instead. While driving home, we encountered police setting up a checkpoint. To which my husband said that the police started checking cars that had not been taxed or insured. which when we have completed the checkpoint. We drove back to the house. After that, we started eating the food my mother-in-law had made and my husband told his parents stories from the past while I went upstairs and did the housework, starting with putting the pictures in the washing machine.
And this is the story for today. Thank you friends for stopping by and reading my articles. Thank you for following and support. Because this is the encouragement and motivation to find stories to write every day. See you again in the next article. Goodbye everyone.
The hole staying the same size after your child's heart grew bigger sounds good, I hope that the future surgery will be good and successful
Thank you so much for your wishes...I hope everything will be better by the time my daughter's surgery is over and she is back to living a normal life like any other child. Thank you for stopping by to read my article.☺️☺️
