Hello everyone. Yesterday my kids came back to tell me about what happened at school. Actually, I already knew that there would be one activity on Friday, which was that a nurse would come to the kids’ school to teach and demonstrate how to brush their teeth properly and then apply fluoride to the kids. How did I know? Haha, because the teacher sent a message in the LINE group of parents telling them to prepare toothbrushes for their kids to take to school the next day.
I think all the children in every grade today will be taken care of by the nurses who come to check and treat the children's teeth today. The next morning my daughter went to school as usual but after 10:00 am when the children had their meals the teachers let the children come down to the front of the building then the nurses taught the children the correct way to brush their teeth and gave them fluoride which they seemed to have a lot of fun. Since I came to Malaysia and learned about the education in schools and the care in schools I think it's quite good the government takes a lot of care of the children. Even in government schools in various places I think the care from the government is also good. Before I used to think that when I was a child in school I would have to use fluoride mouthwash which I really didn't like. But my daughter came back and told me with fun and excitement that it was really good.
After brushing her teeth the nurse put a blue substance on her teeth, I'm not sure if it was fluoride or something. It prevents cavities and coats the teeth. The kids thought it was fun to see them smile and show all their teeth haha and their teeth were blue. My daughter said they were having fun joking around. She said it was a really good activity but I don't know if my youngest daughter did it because she didn't tell me anything after she came home from school.
The children are brushing their teeth, baring their teeth like this, showing almost every tooth. They brush up and down, brushing the inside and brushing the outside like this, it's clean, with nurses walking around watching the children brush their teeth. If anyone doesn't brush properly, the nurses will give them advice one-on-one like this, I assure you that the children will definitely brush their teeth cleanly and properly.
The nurse was demonstrating the correct way to brush teeth using a large denture, and the children brushed their teeth as the nurse showed them. The children did it while playing and they seemed to really enjoy the activity.
