Very interesting post and can appreciate the work behind the scenes that has to be undertaken. Technology has definitely made things easier and knew someone who used to do food photography for adverts. Mashed potato instead of ice cream and so many different cheats they used but the end results no one was the wiser.

Thanks @cryptoandcoffee, yes it's true that so much of any film now is done in the post production phase. I did another shoot of a model in a swimming pool and the released film showed her surrounded by jellyfish hahaha.

Wow that's pretty crazy what goes into all of that even though the end result is such a short thing. Did this commercial end up getting mass release?

thanks @gabe.radke! The amount of money and time that goes into a 30sec TV commercial is often outrageous. The TVC was released across different countries at different times to tie in with their marking campaigns. I believe it was also a cinema TVC. Have you ever seen it? Me I don't really watch TV so I never get to see the TVCs I work on in real life.

I only use streaming services for TV so no, i haven't seen it outside of this post. Perhaps it ends up appearing as a YouTube commercial here and there as well and that is why they intentionally made it so short.

Thanks so much! Always nice to see my posts reblogged on the ASEAN community...:)

That blue whale footage looks extremely real. That's awesome that they were able to do that just in a swimming pool. Is that model a famous person of some sort?

The blue whale is real footage but was not filmed at any time or place near the filming of the model. No the model or as we say in the industry "talent" was not in any way famous. Just another struggling actress trying to make a name for herself - most actors/actresses start their careers in TVCs.

awwww. that makes me feel a little bit bad for her now.

I don't know much about diving but have done it a few times. When you were following your friend for the deep dive how does the camera casing deal with the change in air pressure inside the casing? Wouldn't it change its buoyancy the further you went down... or maybe it was up. Try and explain this to me if you can as i am genuinely curious.

Amazing to think they could film this just in a little swimming pool. Did you also film the other parts of the commercial. You have a talent!
