For the past two days, it's been raining heavily with strong winds, just as predicted by the Meteorological Department. Today, the rain has subsided, and it's sunny in the afternoon. This afternoon, I need to go to the supermarket. Before arriving there, I stopped by a roadside shop to buy a drink. I parked my car near the laundry service shop. After buying the drink, as I walked back to my car, I saw my friend sitting at the shop, so I went over to say hello. My friend regularly uses the laundry service at this shop.
As for me, I first saw a coin-operated laundry shop almost twenty years ago when I worked in Bangkok. It was located in front of my condominium building. I used the service when my washing machine broke down because it was convenient and saved time. I could use the service 24 hours a day, simply by inserting coins into the machine. The machine would automatically start working, and I just had to wait for the cycle to finish and then take my clothes out. Over the years, this type of service has become a rapidly growing business in Thailand, especially near universities. This shop name is Roller Castle, is located near the university entrance, close to my house. It has several washing machines available for use.
For me, using a coin-operated laundry service has many advantages that fit my lifestyle, especially for city dwellers or those who want quick convenience. The benefits include not having to invest in a washing machine, which is suitable for students or renters who don't want to spend money on an expensive machine. There's also no need to worry about maintenance costs, as the service provider is responsible for that. The service is available 24 hours a day, so you can wash clothes at any time, even at night or on holidays. It's convenient for working people with limited time or for emergency situations, such as when your washing machine breaks down suddenly or you need to wash bulky items that your home machine can't handle. The service is also easily accessible, as it's usually located in residential areas, near dormitories, supermarkets, or gas stations. However, when using the service, you should be cautious and check the cleanliness of the machine before use to prevent dirt from getting on your clothes.

I continued walking to the supermarket. I had about half an hour to spend there before picking up my kids from school. Today, I bought ingredients for dinner and tomorrow's breakfast. I only bought the main ingredients, such as meat and some vegetables like mushrooms, carrots, and cabbage. I didn't need to buy additional seasonings. After paying for my groceries, I still had some time left, so I took some photos of the supermarket atmosphere to share with you.
After picking up my kids from school, I stopped by a Daily Donut shop to buy donuts for my son and nephew. They had many types of donuts to choose from. This shop, besides selling donuts, also sells beverages. It's a franchise with many branches across the country and the kids love it!
