ผลไม้ป่าชนิดนี้สมัยตอนผมเด็กๆ ผมมักจะเก็บ ทานอยู่บ่อยครับ เพราะสมัย ตอนผมเด็กๆ มักจะ ชวนเพื่อนๆไปเที่ยวตามในปลาในนา หรือในน้องเป็นประจำจึงมีผลไม้ป่าให้เก็บทานกันเยอะครับ สมัยนั้นเขายังไม่ทำ สวนปาล์ม มีสวนยางพารา เหมือนสมัยนี้ยังเป็นปลาส่วนมากเขาจะทำนาทำไร่กันมากกว่าจึงมีผลไม้ป่าเยอะ และอีกอย่างตอนเด็กๆ ไม่มีเงินที่จะซื้อขนม กินเล่นหรอกครับ ได้เงินไปโรงเรียนมากสุดก็แค่ 2 บาท ถือว่าเยอะแล้วครับ ผลไม้ป่าชนิดนี้เรียกว่า แสงขัน หรืออีกชื่อหนึ่งก็คือสังขัน ก็แล้วแต่ภูมิภาคนะครับ อาจจะเรียกไม่เหมือนกัน บ้านเพื่อนๆเรียกผลไม้ป่าชนิดนี้ว่าอะไรกันบ้างครับแสงขันจะมีรสชาติเปรี้ยวอมหวานนิดหน่อย

ผลของต้นแสงขัน ต้นจะมีหนามลำต้นสีน้ำตาล จะมี ผลติดกับกิ่งลำต้น ผลสีเขียว แก่ทานไม่ได้ จากนั้นก็กลายเป็นสีส้ม ที่ใกล้จะสุก จนกลายเเป็นสีดำ สุกจะมีรสอมเปรี้ยวอมหวาน ผลไม้ชนิดนี้นอกจากสมัยเด็กๆที่ผมชอบแล้วสัตว์บางชนิดก็ชอบเช่นกันครับเช่นนกหลายชนิดที่มาคอยกินผล สีดำสีน้ำตาลที่สุกอยู่ ที่ต้น

I think I know this fruit from Cambodia. It is not sold in the markets, but people in the countryside pick and eat it. Putting some English in the title may help other ASEAN Hivers to know what this post is about before reading.
