Gardening is not just about growing plants, but also about learning to live with nature. Observing and solving problems that arise in the garden makes me learn new things all the time. Most importantly, gardening makes us feel relaxed and happy.
Hello everyone, this morning the air is fresh and bright after finishing the work in the garden. I would like to sit down and rest for a while to recover from my exhaustion before my wife urgently called me because a relative called to ask for the stalks to cook, so I volunteered to go dig them myself. The area in my backyard is quite wet recently because it has been raining for several days in a row until the water flooded the area around the galangal planting. However, it is considered a good thing for the galangal plants because they like moisture anyway. There was also a small surprise when I found duck eggs hidden under the galangal plants. It felt like I won the lottery, haha. But I don’t buy lottery tickets. I only buy stocks, haha.
This time digging the ginger was a really fun experience. Even though I'm not a professional, I tried my best. The result was that the heads were perfectly placed, and some of them looked funny. But it's okay. Doing it is a kind of happiness, and it's also a learning experience, teaching us at the same time.
After digging up the galangal until I was tired and out of breath, haha, it was time to clean it up and prepare to give it as a gift to my lovely relatives. After delivering the galangal from the garden behind the house, it was time to rest and recharge with a delicious lunch. Today, there were a variety of lunch menus, with 3-4 dishes to choose from. After having a delicious lunch, I asked to sit down and relax to let my body digest the food fully. While I was resting, I glanced at my vegetable garden that could not be burned by the sun. I quickly brought the old net that was left over from the previous time to control the pushing force, hoping that the net would help block the sunlight and maintain the moisture for the vegetables.
And let's continue with the evening activity, it's our happy time, little ducks, in the house because they are getting to taste a special menu made from fresh banana stems that I just cut from the garden. Preparing food for the little ducks every day is so much fun. I went out to cut banana trees in the garden and then ground the banana stems to mix with the prepared food. The picture shows our little ducks, both small and large, standing in a row waiting for food in front of the gate with cute and adorable gestures. It's like they're encouraging me to cook. While I was finishing the banana stems, I couldn't help but smile when I saw my favorite little ducks walking around nearby as if asking when the food was ready. As soon as the food was ready, I quickly scooped it into a container and brought it to them. They ate it all together with relish, making me feel happy and proud to take care of them.
