Since yesterday I traveled to attend my younger brother's funeral in Bangkok. In this post, I will write about the story along the way rest stop.
A rest stop along the way Khun Ton's shop
It is a very large rest stop. When walking inside
There are many souvenirs. Many shops. There are snacks, fruits, food and drinks. I took pictures and walked to the counter to exchange coupons. I communicated with the staff to exchange coupons
But ...the staff did not understand what I said. I was suspicious
of the language barrier. When I did not understand, another staff member came to help communicate. Then I knew that the staff was a foreigner.
After getting the coupon, my wife and I before eating
I walked around to take pictures of the atmosphere inside, starting with the gasai
coffee.
Dining tables, many zones, many types of tables
Each type is different. I walked around taking pictures of tables and chairs in each zone.
In the middle zone, there are many kinds of chili paste, shrimp paste chili paste, and many other things, but I can't tell what they are. But they look very delicious, both the vegetables and the chili paste.
I saw the chili paste and vegetables that looked delicious. I walked to the rice and curry shop. The food zone. Each shop looked very delicious.
The staff is a foreigner.
I ordered rice with curry, stir-fried pork with fried fish.
Take a picture. I finished ordering. I asked my wife what she wanted to eat. My wife doesn't eat rice with curry today.
My wife ordered crispy pork rice.
When the staff finished cooking and handed it to her,
there were 2-3 customers standing there. But my wife didn't receive it because she didn't know which customer's food was on the table because she felt that the crispy pork rice menu didn't look like this. In conclusion, the staff said that the food was ready and this was the menu that was ordered.
My wife picked up the dish and then she put it in the chili, garlic, and some kind of sauce in front.
My wife and I sat together with our relatives to eat together. After eating, we forgot to buy drinking water. At the dining table, while we were eating with our relatives, we talked about the food and beverage service here. When our relatives went to buy food, they also met a foreign employee. The foreigner could not speak clearly, which caused miscommunication.
So I walked to the beverage counter. When I got to the counter, I ordered a bottle of drinking water. But I saw the employee pick up a plastic cup with an ice trap and walk to the counter to press some kind of water. Put it in a glass with a lid and hand it to me with the price of 25 baht.
At that time, I was confused about this incident. I ordered a glass of water and got 1 glass. I did not know what kind of water it was or what it tasted like because I ordered 1 bottle of drinking water. Then I remembered that the conversation with my relatives at the dining table was probably due to a lack of communication. That is why I got this glass of water.
So I gave the employee a coupon for 25 baht and I did not say anything. I walked back to the dining table. When I arrived, I told everyone what happened. Everyone laughed.
About what happened to me because everyone had experienced the same thing.
And the water that was obtained was chrysanthemum water, a herbal water.
Finished, everyone went their separate ways to do their own business so they could continue their journey. The path to the bathroom, outside, this place has beautiful water fountains, pictures with beautiful chairs and decorated rocks as chairs, so I took another picture before leaving here. Today, I have to say goodbye. See you again.

It's a nice rest stop if you have been traveling for hours already. You can have some good foods to ease the hunger, and so on.
Yes, it's a great rest stop. There are restaurants, restrooms, coffee shops, and a spacious and convenient parking lot. @charmingcherry
I felt a mix of sadness and amusement. Hearing about the funeral was heartbreaking, but the story about the food order was unexpectedly funny. I cannot imagine myself in that situation. But the saddest thing is I couldn't see the pictures 😂. I don't know why.
