Last night, my family and I went to a coffee cafe in my town called Grya Coffee. Initially, I didn’t plan to try coffee because I knew it would keep me awake. However, I was aware they usually serve more than just coffee, which is probably why this cafe often attracts a lot of guests, even at night.
It was raining when I arrived in front of the cafe. I noticed people were already sitting on chairs outside in the open area. My wife suggested we go inside the building, which was separated by a glass door. It was the non-smoking room.
We chose to sit at a long table near the corner, close to the cashier. Once we settled in, we looked at the menu and decided to skip the coffee.
The first thing we checked was the prices. Is it expensive compared to other restaurants we've visited before? Such a mindset!
Well, the price was quite affordable. It is ranging from USD 1 to maximun 3 USD per item. Not bad at all.
Skipping coffee because we did not want to stay awake overnight, we ordered two plates of chicken fried rice, grilled chicken with sambal, noodles, and chicken spring rolls. For drinks, we had milk with brown sugar, lemon tea, and teh tarik (tea mixed with milk). For dessert, I decided to try fried ice cream.
We waited for about an hour—thank goodness there was Wi-Fi, although it was quite slow. So my family played with their phones 🤪 Eventually, the food arrived.
The grilled chicken I ordered was decent, and my family thought the rest of the food was okay too. It wasn’t particularly special, but we just wanted to try something new and affordable.
My children each ordered two scoop of ice cream. It was the only nice thing they enjoyed, For me I ordered something different. It was fried ice cream.
The dessert, the fried ice cream, was intriguing at first, but the taste was like fried bread mixed with ice cream.
And that sums up our little culinary adventure!
Have you teased them with the casual question at "bill paying" time: "Do you accept payments in Bitcoin?" 😊
We found that over here, in Luxembourg, the time is ripe. Restaurant owners and operators start taking this question seriously now.
Thats a great idea. I have never actually tired that. Will try that next time 🙏.

If the owner is at least curious, mention v4v.app. Anyone of his waiters can have a mobile payment terminal on their personal phones.

There is a big issue here in my country, as this is illegal to use other means of transaction besides the National Currency. There is a law that prevents that. There a case where a car rental was taken into ail because they accepted USDT as the payment. Not sure int the future, if the government will change the law, but as of now although it is a good idea, but it can be risky though.
It's okay not to have some coffee when going to a café, as long as they offer other options for drinks — milk and tea are good too. Also, the foods look tasty!
