This is my family pet cat - Misya. He was named by my daughters, hence the girly name for a male cat 😅. Misya has been in the family for almost three years. We have taken him in since he was a young adult. Originally he was a stray cat.
My youngest daughter found him while playing outside of my house. She gave him cat food, and then quietly brought him home. She hid the cat inside her room. I noticed the cat when i go to her room, and saw the cat is sleeping beside my daughter, while being wrapped in a blanket.
After she woke up, she asked whether can she keep the cat? I didn't gave an answer immediately. Because i know, keeping a cat as a pet is a lot of work. I'm worried both of my daughter didn't take responsibility and just let me & @irmeyhamidi do all the work.
Well...fast forward to 2021, now Misya is a mature adult cat, and is a part of the family. He even has his own space at the living room. Whenever he got back home from outside, the black plastic chair will be the place for him to take a rest, even nap. Sometimes he just lie down on the carpet.
I still remember the first week Misya was brought home. She was full of cat mites. We spend quite some time cleaning him. Also taking him to vet to kill all the mites on his body. Also on the same time, I was having a severe allergic reaction to cat mites. It was really bad until my body was covered in scabies, and some of it started to puss. It was really itchy and painful. Even more painful when I'm sweating.
Even when Misya is certified completely free of cat mites, I'm still having the allergic reaction. I've seen dermatology specialist, use the lotion and cream that has been prescribed. Still the scabies doesn't subside, and gotten worse. This goes on for two months.
One day, after reading an article about how natural hot water spring can heal many skin diseases, I and the family goes to natural hot water spring in Selayang. I go there for three night straight. Thank god that the scabies started to heal after taking hot water bath. A week after taking the hot water bath, the scabies has dried up.
Misya has taken all necessary vaccination and has been neutered from a local vet. However, misya still like to go outside, instead of staying home. Usually, after a cat was neutered, they prefer to stay at home.
But that was not the case with misya. He still like to go outside. Sometimes up until 2-3 days. When he came back, he will eat, drink and then sleep for the whole day. When he wakes up, he will go outside. That is his routine now.
I don't know for how long Misya will be alive. When the time comes, what should I tell my daughters? My eldest daughter might understand, but my youngest daughter might not. But, when the time has come, I will be honest and brief to them...

Cute kitty! My family has never seen a hot spring before. We didn't have them in Cambodia because there is not much geologic activity there, and the situation is the same here in Suriname. However, if/when we can go to the USA, I hope to show them the healing properties of hot springs.
I was a bit skeptical before this. But after experiencing myself the benefits of hot spring, I'm amazed by mother nature 😁
