Good day, everyone! I'm excited to share my latest adventure with y'all. Our short film titled "The Shattered Image." This project has been an incredible journey filled with both fun and challenges, from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final edits.
In this blog, I'll take you behind the scenes, sharing the exhilarating moments of acting, the chaos of filming, and the meticulous process of editing. Each phase brought its own set of surprises—whether it was nailing a particularly emotional scene, navigating the complexities of our dual storylines, or the laughter we shared during unexpected mishaps.
We poured our hearts into this film, exploring themes of jealousy, loss, and the haunting nature of memory. I’ll also highlight the dynamics within our group, how we supported each other through tough days, and the bonds we forged along the way.

Let’s take a look at these two posters. We were initially confused about which one to choose, each reflecting different aspects of our film. After much deliberation, we decided on the first picture, which perfectly captures the eerie essence of "The Shattered Image." I have to say, our director has remarkable talent—like, truly impressive. Their vision and creativity guided us throughout the project.
The film turned out to be not just thrilling and creepy, but also successful in conveying our intended themes. I’m incredibly grateful to my team for their hard work and unwavering support. I witnessed true coordination among us; everyone brought their A-game, and our determination to make this film shine was evident in every scene. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal. This experience has not only strengthened our skills but also deepened our connections as a team.
We first started with the planning phase, brainstorming ideas and deciding on the themes and storylines for our short film. One of our members brought a mirror, a key prop for one of the eerie scenes, which really set the tone for our project. However, we hit a roadblock when it came to gathering other materials since we hadn’t finalized our script yet! 😅 Despite that, we kept moving forward, with other members contributing makeup for the actors and costumes to help bring our characters to life.

Speaking of costumes, I had to sacrifice my long white skirt and white top for the filming. As part of one of the more dramatic scenes, one member from our group's outfit was going to be covered in fake blood. 😭 But honestly, I have no regrets! It was all worth it in the end because those shots turned out amazing and really added to the horror atmosphere we were trying to create. Everyone’s commitment, even when it meant sacrificing something, was a big reason why we succeeded.
Of course, no film shoot would be complete without the right equipment. We brought everything we could. From ring lights to cameras. Ensuring that we captured every angle and mood perfectly. Despite all the initial chaos and challenges, we managed to pull it off. Each piece came together so beautifully, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished as a team.
Since our filming took a lot of time, we pushed ourselves to finish all the necessary clips at school, making sure the bulk of the editing could be done at home. With tight schedules and so many scenes to capture, we tried our very best to stick to our plan and use the school setting efficiently. Luckily, three of my group members, including me, are practically neighbors—well, sort of, haha. So, we planned to meet up afterward to finish the remaining tasks, especially the editing.
That meet-up turned out to be a blast. It was such a fun day, filled with laughter and memories, all captured through the lens of our cameras. It felt less like work and more like hanging out with friends, but with the added excitement of seeing our project come together piece by piece. Everyone was fully invested, and it felt like we were making something truly special.
I have to give a shout-out to my boy best friend, who had his digital camera from home. His camera ended up filled with our faces! 😂 But honestly, those candid moments are some of the best memories we made during this project. His camera helped us document not just the film, but the fun and crazy behind-the-scenes moments that we’ll all look back on fondly.

In this series of photos, you can see some behind-the-scenes moments from our short film "The Shattered Image." The first picture shows our makeup session, where one of the members is getting her face done with fake blood and eerie makeup. It’s one of the key elements that added to the creepy atmosphere of the film. We took turns transforming into our characters, which really got us into the mood for filming those intense scenes.
The next few photos are just mirror shots with one of our group members dressed as the ghost. It was supposed to be a creepy moment, but we couldn’t help but laugh and have fun taking the pictures. It was such a memorable part of the day because, even in the middle of all the intense preparation, we still found time to enjoy ourselves.Looking back, these photos remind me of the balance between hard work and fun. Filmmaking is serious business, but there’s always room for a little laughter!
And that’s a wrap on our behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of "The Shattered Image." From makeup sessions to mirror shots, this project reminded us that while filmmaking can be intense, the fun, spontaneous moments truly make the experience unforgettable.
Through teamwork and patience, we brought our creative ideas to life and made sure to laugh along the way. After all, it’s not just about the final product, but the journey that took us there.
