FROM MOMENTS TO MEMORIES: TREASURING LIFE'S SIMPLE JOYS!

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY3 days ago (edited)
What's up, dear hivers! These past few months have been quite a ride, and I can’t wait to share all the experiences and lessons I’ve gathered along the way. It’s been a mix of ups and downs, fun moments, and meaningful reflections. So, stick around and read till the end, you won’t want to miss it!

Let's start with these moments!

This moment took place in October, during our recognition day, a day we’d been looking forward to for a while. I’m someone who loves to capture memories, so naturally, I had my phone ready to snap photos of every little thing. It’s like my way of making moments last forever. That day, we decided to reward ourselves even before seeing our grades, which, thinking about it now, was pretty funny HAHAHAHA. But honestly, we were already at peace with whatever the results would be because we knew in our hearts that we gave it our very best.

Before heading to the ceremony, we stopped by a small café to get some cold drinks. It felt like a tiny celebration, even though we didn’t know yet what exactly we were celebrating. Each of us chose our own drink, and I went for a matcha bomb filled with boba, which is one of my favorites. I was so excited to try it, but I couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed because the matcha flavor wasn’t as strong as I expected. Still, it wasn’t all bad, I enjoyed the boba, and the café itself was cozy and relaxing. If you ever visit San Remigio, Cebu, it’s definitely a nice spot to check out.

After enjoying our drinks, we realized it was getting late, so we rushed back to school because the recognition ceremony was about to start. The excitement was building, and you could feel the mix of nerves and anticipation in the air. It was one of those moments where you’re both eager and anxious to find out the results. We couldn’t wait to see how our hard work paid off, and honestly, even if the results weren’t what we hoped for, we were still proud of ourselves for everything we had accomplished.

Looking back, it wasn’t just about the grades or the recognition. It was about celebrating the journey, our efforts, struggles, and little victories along the way. Moments like this remind me that it’s okay to pause, treat yourself, and appreciate the experience, no matter the outcome.

Just look at how messy it was! 😭 For our Oral Communication subject, we were asked to create a Museum Art Gallery based on the Different Types of Speech. At first, we thought it would be easy. We figured we’d quickly get it done and be able to relax. But, boy, were we wrong, it turned into a much bigger task than we expected!

From the beginning, the room was an absolute mess. There were papers everywhere, decorations that weren’t cooperating, and posters that wouldn’t stick. We thought we were organized, but it felt like things were falling apart as we worked. There were moments when we couldn’t even find the materials we needed, and it felt like we were racing against the clock.

The biggest challenge was that it wasn’t something we could finish in one day. We ended up going to school during our free time just to continue working on it. To make sure we could get inside the school after hours, we had to get a signed consent from our parents. Imagine how strict it was, having to show the guard proof that we were allowed to be there!

We worked hard until around 5 p.m. each day, but even then, it didn’t feel like enough time. Some of us stayed frustrated, worried about finishing everything on time. The stress was real, but somehow, we kept going, knowing that we had to get this done. And through all the stress, we also had moments of laughter. When something didn’t work out or when we made mistakes, we’d laugh it off. It was our way of coping with the pressure and making sure we didn’t lose our motivation.

There were times we doubted ourselves. When it felt like the project was too big or we weren’t going to meet our expectations. But in the end, we pulled it together. The gallery came to life, and seeing everything finally come together felt amazing. It wasn’t perfect, but the fact that we managed to do it despite all the mess and struggles was enough for us to feel proud.

A little peek at our work;). In my next blog post, I'll be sure to show you our museum art gallery

Looking back now, it’s funny how we thought this would be a quick and easy project. It turned out to be so much more, teaching us a lot about working together and how important it is to stay calm when things get tough. We also learned how much effort it really takes to make something meaningful. It was a stressful, messy, and sometimes frustrating experience, but I wouldn’t change it. In the end, it’s a memory I’ll always remember because it taught us the power of teamwork and determination.

Let's have this.

These images capture some of the best moments with my favorite girls. In the first picture, we are gathered together, missing one member but always keeping a space for her. Our bond is so special to me! This moment happened during the chaos of the school accident when the circuit malfunctioned, releasing thick smoke. Despite the scary situation, we managed to find humor in it and quickly moved to a safer classroom. It's funny how we made light of the situation, looking back on it now.

The second photo reflects our pure joy upon hearing that the Komunikasyon subject test got delayed. Who wouldn't be ecstatic about that as a student, right? It's those little moments of relief that make student life more bearable!

In the third picture, my classmates and I are seen attempting to catch a quick nap in the afternoon when there were no teachers around. We seized the opportunity to have fun, watching videos, playing games, and teasing each other. These carefree moments of togetherness are truly precious to me.

Lastly, I would like to share a quote from a Manhua I read titled "TO WHOM IT NO LONGER CONCERNS." This Manhua has a special place in my heart as one of my favorite reads. The depth of its storytelling and the way it resonates with me make it truly unforgettable. So, here it is. Feel free to immerse yourself in its words and let its essence captivate you whenever you're ready.
