MY OSARAGI COSPLAY JOURNEY – ANIME FROM SAKAMOTO DAYS ✨🎭

Good day, dear hivers! Are you all ready for more of my content? Have you been waiting for my next blog? Because I am super excited to share this with you! This time, I finally got to cosplay Osaragi from Sakamoto Days!

At first, I was completely torn about which character to cosplay. I had two choices: Osaragi or Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries. Maomao would have been tricky since she has green hair, and I still do not own a green wig. The only one I have is pink, so my options were kinda limited. If I had gone with Maomao, it would have just been an inspired look, not her full outfit. I planned to wear a green-styled shirt and a red skirt instead of her actual costume. But hey, maybe I will do a proper Maomao cosplay someday, so let’s all look forward to that!

After what felt like a lifetime of debating with myself, I finally decided on Osaragi. And honestly? I have no regrets! I absolutely love her character, and her voice actress is one of my favorites! Just thinking about bringing her to life made me feel so excited! There is something about Osaragi that I find really fascinating. She has that cool yet unpredictable vibe, and her personality is just so fun to portray. Her appearance is also striking, especially with her signature veil, which adds an air of mystery to her look.

Finding the right pieces for the outfit was a bit of a challenge. I struggled to find a lace veil, but I came across my old blazer, which turned out to be a good alternative. It was not transparent like Osaragi’s, but it still worked well with the look. Osaragi actually wears a dress, but since I did not have one that matched, I paired my jacket with long black pants that gave a similar silhouette to a dress. In the end, the outfit came together successfully!

When it was time for the photoshoot, I asked my brother to take pictures of me, and I even offered to pay him afterward. At first, he agreed, but when I mentioned that we had to go outdoors for better lighting, he immediately backed out. Typical! Hahaha! It was already nighttime, so the lighting would not have been the best anyway. To make things worse, my ring light was broken, which meant my recent photoshoots lacked proper lighting.

With no photographer and barely any good lighting, I had to rely on myself. I set up the timer, ran into position, posed, and rushed back to check the results. I probably looked ridiculous doing it, but I could not stop laughing at myself. The dedication was real! Hahaha! There were moments when I tripped over my own outfit while rushing to pose before the timer went off. I swear, if there was a hidden camera recording me, it would have been hilarious to watch!

But honestly, that is what makes cosplay so fun. It is not always about getting the perfect shot on the first try. Sometimes, it is about struggling with the lighting, redoing your makeup five times, running back and forth with the camera timer, and laughing at all the weird poses you accidentally make. It is all part of the experience, and those small, silly moments make it even more enjoyable.

I think that is one of the most fun things about cosplay—you do not always need to have everything perfect. Sometimes, you just have to get creative, work with what you have, and make the best out of it. Seeing the final results made all the effort worth it. It was not perfect, but it was me, and that is what mattered the most.

I took numerous photos, and some of them turned out really well. Even though I did everything by myself, I was able to pull it off almost perfectly. I also made a TikTok video in this outfit, so if you are curious, feel free to check it out on my TikTok account @_debbieieie!

I have to admit, though, that some of the edits did not turn out as good as I hoped. But hey, maybe that is just part of the process! Hahaha! Not every shot will be perfect, and that is okay. It is all about having fun and learning along the way.

Speaking of cosplay, I am already thinking about my next one! I am deciding between Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen or redoing my Mizi cosplay from Alien Stage since I still have my pink wig. I have cosplayed Mizi before, but while the videos turned out great, the photos were not as good as I wanted, so I could not post them. This time, I want to do better and really bring the character to life!

This will be all for my OSARAGI cosplay, please do tell me your isights by commenting. I would be grateful to hear all your opinion. Please look forward to more of my cosplay content! Also, I might share my experience in Liloan last month. We actually joined a contest, and let me tell you, it was such a memorable experience. Everything that happened there was worth it, and I @saixieh cannot wait to tell you all about it. Stay tuned for my next blog, hivers! 😊 See you all and God bless!!

excellent cosplay even though you don't have the best camera! I can't wait for another cosplay from you 😊

Congratulations on your cosplay. I think the most rewarding thing is the result of the effort you put into making the cosplay, finding the costume, making the accessories, using your creativity to overcome the obstacles. Last weekend I went to a cosplay event in my city, tomorrow I will publish that post.
