Hello everyone! How's your day today? It's a beautiful day to go out and have some fun! Well, our theme for this week is quite exciting because it brings out the memories of the good old days where we went off for the summer and of course, we never fail to take some memorabilias. With the heat that has been scorching hot, all we could think is find a way where to seek refuge to some cool place like taking a dip into the waters!
As shown on the above photos, you will notice three generations of people trying to escape the heat and enjoy the summer breeze of the sea! On the first photo, we chose to spend overnight at Sipaway island. It's about 30 minutes ride by pump boat. Antonia and her kuya (elder cousin) enjoyed looking for hermet crabs since they appear during low tide.
It will be time for them to go jumping at the porch when it's high tide. See that boulders beside? The sea water will reach that high during high tide since the island is at the middle of the sea!
The big ones wanted to look for a bigger adventure. My two daughters along with their best buddies chose to go to Oslob in Cebu to dive and enjoy the gentle Giants of the sea, the huge whale sharks. They were lucky to see one of the biggest whale sharks behind them. The caretakers feed them with small shrimps. Funny, isn't it? They're huge but they feed on small shrimps! Some do snorkeling at the bottom. The other photo shows Antonia and her mom went to El Nido in Palawan. The other photo was taken in Boracay where she joined her father's family. They stayed there for three days.
Whenever given the chance, I would spend some quality time with my youngest son in Dumaguete City. Their son often chat with me to ask me when I visit him so he could take me to the beach which is only a walking distance at the back of their house. After taking a dip, I sat on the boulder to watch them until sundown while I enjoy the cool breeze coming from the sea. It was refreshing! My son enjoy walking along the seashore as the sun seats on the horizon. I feel weary but relaxed looking out there.:(
Antonia and her mom went to El Nido in Palawan one summertime in fulfilment of her promise for a summer trip when she gets good grades, so there they are, enjoying the sea and the caves in Palawan.:)
That photo was taken at Vallerhermoso beach resort. It's not far from Canlaon City. Our family would go there to take a dip. That's my older daughter with their 2 years old son and beside is a complete photo of my family with their dad. As a sailor, he loves the sea where my kids easily conform with glee whenever he takes us to the beach! That's another photo of Antonia and her kuya resting at several jumps at the pool when we went to Campuestuhan in Bacolod City.
When my daughter went home, we were all excited to go out to the sea again!
We enjoyed island hopping for about 30 minutes but it exceeded to an hour because we liked to go diving and enjoy the gentle fishes in different colors at the bottom but we were required to put on our safety vests since it was about ten feet beside the small island. Indeed, the water was very clear and unpolluted. We were not allowed to take corals for souvenir.
But if you want to get truly refreshed, you can take a dip in one of our natural spring water resorts in Canlaon. The main source came from Mt. Kanlaon itself! The water came from the spring, and it's fresh and free flowing since the water flows continuously! There's a tank beside provided beside the place if you want to drink. There's a little culvert where you can place bottles of wine and soft drinks. It's like a big freezer actually.
There are various outlets that came from Mount Kanlaon especially when there's a heavy rain. You can see from afar big three waterfalls flowing down the mountain. Well, it's a good sign for the locals especially the younger generation to enjoy the waterfalls. That's my daughter and company enjoying the heavy current of water coming from the mountain! Actually, that's one of the places where the lahar flowed down when the volcano erupted recently and the river was flattened with Peebles and sand but it will soon be back to it's original structure when the rain comes with the help of the local government.
That's one of the freshwater water pools at the foot of the mountain. You will enjoy the pool while enjoying the beautiful scenery around.
On that photo, my kids just came from the mountain trekking from the volcano. They would follow down the river and enjoy a cold dip. Travelers and mountain trekkers often go there during summertime to unwind and enjoy the cold natural spring waters! Actually, there's also a hot spring on the other side where you can soak your feet. You can put some eggs to make a medium cooked egg! Lol!
That's another waterfalls on the other upper side of the mountain. My grandson took a pose after taking a dip while his team were taking photo shoots for the candidates of a beauty pageant held recently.
That's the coldest spring water resort in Canlaon. It's ice cold guys! You will feel how cold it is when you take a dip!:) It's truly refreshing.:)
The last but not the least, there's still another option for Antonia too. I like to have a big tub at the back of our dirty kitchen for easy use especially in other special occasions where we can easily wash our plates and other stuffs. It's also convenient to wash and rinse our clothes. I prefer to hand wash our delicate clothes with thin fabrics to avoid overstretching. This time, it's for Antonia's convenience! We usually take a joke on this when we couldn't make it outside. We call it "Yo-Ban Beach". It's the reverse of Banyo meaning bathroom! Lol!
Well, taking a dip to the waters always feels good wherever you are so long as you feel refreshed! Right guys?
That's a sweet and precious water adventure woth your family. You also visited a lot of different places. Visiting this kind of place are seriously, the best especially during summer. And it's best to do with the family ✨✨
Indeed, it's more enjoyable when you have your love ones around. Thanks for the visit dear.
