Good day, guys!
This post is for #SublimeSunday which is initiated by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday which is initiated by @ace108.
I tried sleeping earlier than usual and I woke up twice, 2 am and 3 am. So when I woke up I felt sleep deprived. But the day must go on so I got ready, took the bus went to the metro, and then took another bus to go to work.
I got to work and got to speak with my other colleagues. I also welcomed a new cleaner. I’m kinda sad that our cleaner is leaving but I’m also happy for him at the same time because he’ll be able to pursue what he really likes. I had no first patient at 9 so I was just catching up with notes and doing some paperwork. I’m surprised that my 9:45 patient came 15 minutes earlier so I started him. He told me that he made sure he’ll come early because he was late last time.
I really loved what he taught me today. He taught me a lesson where we should be sharing what we have. He told me that the problem of this world right now is that people are too greedy. He told me a backstory of his life and here’s part of it. In my opinion, he is really blessed to be able to work with Mother Teresa for 13 years. While he was working with Mother Teresa, he said that there were people who would leave their newborn child in the gate and he would collect them and take care of them. He was just really inspiring to speak with.
My second patient was late so I only treated her for 20 minutes. She’s been here for 10 years already and she started working here at an early age. We are around the same age. It’s just nice to ask about the perspectives of other people, she said that she couldn’t see herself living in the Philippines. The next patient was one of my old patients, the last time that I saw him was last year, he said everything is doing great, though he left his job where he had been working for 17 years for a change. It was nice catching up with him but was surprised me the most was the tuition of his grade 1 child which is 55,000 AED or 14977 USD, just for a year, that doesn’t even include the school bus.
The next patient was my patient last week, he was telling me that the pain in his left upper back was gone already. He also said that he started going to the gym, which made me feel happy. At least this patient is helping himself with his rehabilitation. My next patient told me that his pain was improving already. He was telling me the stories about where he was diagnosed before and the doctor told him that he can never be normal again. I’m glad that he sought a second opinion. I think that’s one narrative that we should change in the healthcare system. Whatever we feed our patients will always be remembered. If he had listened to that narrative, he would have fallen into a loop where he wouldn’t even help himself. Sometimes a patient just needs reassurance that they will be better and get back to the things that they used to do as long as they also play the part and help themselves. My patient told me that he also started going back to the gym because I gave him the clearance. He was really happy about it and told his family. I’m just glad that he took this advice positively.
The next patient was a patient of my other colleagues. It was my first time treating him. He’s a Manager and I couldn’t believe his work schedule where they would even bother him at 3 am in the morning. He’s on call 24/7. I think I wouldn’t be able to live if that’s going to happen to me. The next patient was one of my old patients, he’s the one who’s been speaking about me regarding trading. He was telling me sites to use if I want to trade in our Philippines exchange. He was telling me how to pick different stocks. It was going to be his last session because his condition improved already. I’m glad that he also took the courage to train in the gym and help himself. I had one more patient before lunch, when I got him, I was surprised that he was wearing a Miami Heat Jersey. He said he was just trolling people because he’s really a Celtics Fan. I also treated his workmate a while ago. Their work this week was a bit chill because their boss wasn’t there. For some reason, I really like the positivity of this guy. He just seems so kind.
I then ate my lunch after treating 8 patients back to back. After eating, got back and treated my 4:30 patient. He’s been my regular for the past few months. He told me that he had a lifestyle change, wherein he stopped drinking coffee and replaced it with tea. He also started walking on the treadmill every day and he told me his sleep became better. I'm glad that he's doing better than before, and he's about to go on vacation soon.
After treating him, I was just waiting for the next patient, I then went down to the reception area and they said that another therapist treated the patient already. So I was just finishing all our notes. Then there came the barrage of endorsements. I had to do electrotherapy on 3 patients. They even gave me one patient for whom I had to do manual therapy for 10 min and the woman was a bit demanding. I could hear the phone ringing that my last patient was here. I finished up and started treating my patient. I truly loved the attitude of my last patient, she has a lot of wisdom whenever you speak with her. She even gave me a name of a person who I should try listening to. Her name is Louise Hay. Thankfully despite having a really tiring day, she was my last patient, I even extended a bit for the treatment. Our PRO dropped me and my other colleagues at the metro station and we took trains to our designated area. I went to the Mall and went to the grocery and bought nothing. I then decided to eat. I ordered Mutton Biryani, and it was delicious. I then decided to go home, I took a bus and got home.
It was a really tiring day, I didn't expect to treat that many patients. Interacting with patients can really be draining but fulfilling in the end. I hope that you have a wonderful week ahead!
Thanks for reading stay safe always!

Not again. I really hate to wake up in the middle of the night. 2/3 am is still not so bad for me but 4/5 am means it's difficult to fall asleep again but that's still better than being on call 24 x 7.
I know, I really don't know why this is happening to me every Sunday. I thought if I'm really tired the day before my sleep will be good. I'd also take waking up intermittently than having a 24/7
Thanks for dropping by!
For me the weird thing is it happens more on a Thursday nights Friday morning
