Luckily we didn't get married again because we found it grants me no additional rights and it won't help us immigrate to another country because we already have used our Suriname marriage certificate to start the USA immigration process almost 4 years ago. The guy at the Ministry didn't know what he was talking about and later admitted he knew little about the law, but only after taking our money. Luckily we didn't pay $1,200 for a 2nd useless marriage certificate, that high price is just to line the pockets of the bigshots.
Praise God! You were not able to spend that huge amount.
