Has anyone ever loved Monday? I suppose some of us despise it because it means returning to work. But for some, they love it because it means the start of a money-making day again.
But as I have no work yet, ergo, my Monday.
Late in the afternoon, August 8, 2022, my Ate(elder cousin) said that Kuya(her husband) wanted to go out on a stroll because he was bored at home, at the place they called Gullas Drive. I said, "Okay, sure," since I am not doing any busy things yet and it is almost dinner time.
The place is just a 15-minute drive from our place. It is located at the top of Mingalanilla, Cebu, Ph.

We entered at Abuno and then went straight all the way up. We passed through many houses, making the roads in that area a little narrow. We drove all the way up until the gates of Gullas (color red GI sheet). Some parts of the road, I must say, are steep. We turned off the AC and opened the windows. We can already feel that breeze from the mountains and trees.
We stopped by for a while to take photos and then decided to go to that food house that people were talking about. It is called Kusina ni Haras. But unfortunately, it was closed when we were there. It was past 5pm when we went, actually, almost 6 in the evening. But I guess they are closed on Mondays. I don’t know.

So we drove back to the highway. My cousin and her husband decided to eat out and have our dinner somewhere. We stopped along the streets of Minglannila and entered that food shop, which offers pizza, burgers, fries, halo-halo, tempura, squid balls, and, beside it, a carenderia (restaurant) that offers hot soup and a variety of foods. The place is called Kifel's, and is also making its way viral, and people in the area and the neighboring places of Minglanilla are talking about it because of its very affordable yet scrumptious burgers and food. My cousin ordered burgers, fries, halo-halo, and soft drinks. Their burger patty was homemade, and it was so delicious, plus the sauce and all the veggies included. We sliced it in half because I couldn't finish the whole burger as I was still full from my afternoon snacks. The cost was affordable and worth it.
Their prices per serving are as follows:
Special Halo-halo ₱80 ($1.44)
Regular Halo-halo ₱70 ($1.26)
Hamburger ₱125 ($2.26)
Pizza ₱135 ($2.44)
French Fries ₱35 ($0.63)
Squid Ball, Tempura, Chicharap, and Onion Rings ₱35 ($0.63)
We happily ate our dinner and were satisfied. It was delicious! We went back home with full tummies. What a spontaneous Monday it was.
