Hello Hive friends 🙏. Last month I took our cat to veterinarian. Our cat gave birth to 3 kittens 4 months ago. We are worried that she will get pregnant again. My husband wants me to take her to get sterilized because he don't want any more kittens. We think 3 kittens and a cat are too many. I agree with him but get the cat sterilized is expensive and I need to go to Battambang Province.
The cost of spaying and neutering a dog or a cat is calculated by the weight of the animal. Our cat weighs two kilos and 9 grams, so we spent $70. And with the cost of blood tests, medication, and other things, I spent $100.
When I first arrived at the veterinarian, a doctor was asking about my cat, and while we were talking, a dog owner brought their dog in for vaccination. My cat saw that dog and she quickly ran away from her hands to the highway. That woman and I chased her for about a kilometer. Then she stopped. As I was running to get my cat, I thought to myself that I might have lost my cat forever, and I felt very scared and worried. But when she stopped, I hugged her and I felt so better.
This was her first time driving a long distance. On the way, she cried a lot. She seemed very worried because she had never seen anything she was not used to. She went in for surgery for about an hour and after she came out of the surgery, she was asleep due to the anesthesia.
I felt so sorry for her. I asked the vet if we were harming her by spaying her like this. The vet said no, we were helping the cat because cats live longer after being spayed. And she also said that some cats after surgery can live to be 20 years old. This is the first time I have heard such news. I don't know if it is true or not. But I hope she will live with us for a long time.
After resting for about an hour in there. I took her in a taxi to back home. She slept a lot because of the medication. She didn't eat or drink until the next day. She still didn't eat. I was very worried about her, but after 20 hours she started eating.
After 2 weeks, her wound still hadn't healed and was swollen. I took a picture and asked the doctor if it was because she was licking her wound that it wasn't healing so easily. The necklace worn around her neck is not working for her, she can still lick it when she wants to lick it. I also sewed a shirt for her the first time it didn't work, she was able to take it off by herself, and I sewed a shirt the third time so she couldn't take it off. And now her wound is almost healed because she doesn't lick her face like before.
This picture is in this morning, she followed me to the bathroom for looking at me and she drink water. This picture made my day. Have a great day everyone

Well, you guys did the right thing, rather than allowing them to keep on breeding stray cats and suffer.
I call it responsible act of very responsible pet/s owner/s. I did the same thing to my pet but a dog. We can take care better if they're not too many. 😍
I love cat's they are my stress reliever.I have same cat's with the same color as your the all black and mixed gray and black.

I agree with sterilized. My neighbor doesn't sterilized his cat. Now he has more than 10 cats. And them don't eat enough food.
That's a good thing you did. I have a cat same as yours, with a combination of white. I call him Leo, Him because it's a boy.
