Three months ago my two daughters and I went visit Ta Prohm temple with my Khmer family. The Ta Prohm temple is in Siem Reap Province of Cambodia. Those days we visited Angkor Thom in the morning until lunch. After we got lunch already and we went to Ta Prohm.

The distance from Angkor Thom to Ta Prohm is about 2 km or we are riding around 40 minutes with Khmer Tuk-Tuk. On the way to Ta Prohm, there are many other temples along the way.

This is the gate into the temple. The gate has four carved faces.

This is the entrance to the temple area.

This Ta Prohm has originally called "Reach Vihear", was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII in 1186.

Due to the age of the temple and the abandonment for too long, trees have grown on the body of the temple.

And it has become the attraction of many national and international guests visiting every day.

There are many temples where big trees press on the rocks temples. And other temples in other places have also but they cut some for taking of temples.

But for the temples in this area, they do not cut it. I have heard that they want to keep the trees to confirm the age of the temple and other reasons.

The roots are long and the stems are high, so it is difficult to photograph all the trees and temples. This is a original picture I do not crop it.

This tree, all the tourists who come to visit this place like to take pictures. And there are always people waiting to be photographed. I love this picture so much of @kidsisters SreyYuu.

This place I used to visited a few times and along time ago but I not have much pictures from there because I do not have my own camera at those times. I have some pictures from my niece and now they are very old photos.

I am very happy for I can visit this place again with my lovely family.

The temple has suffered a lot of damage, but we can still see it beautifully and wonderfully.

These are small temples in the Ta Prohm area.

These are my niece and my nephew's son and my niece’s daughter, they are in the door of temple.

This is a statue of Buddha inside the temple, but it has lost its head. My little daughter asked me that, why all the statues lost their heads? I told her that the thief stole the head of God and sold it abroad. And she asked why they did not take the whole? I say maybe because they were too heavy, they just took the head.

one things that is amazing in Cambodian temple is the tree that grow in the body of the temple. It add uniqueness to the temple but also damaging for the longer terms. as thw root might damage the rock.

Does it far from Angkor Wat?

It is amazing that the ancient people can make such a huge and great temple like that, so sad that it is abandon and be like that.

There are many reasons why we abandon the temple and become like this. The change of residence of many kings of that period and during the war. After a long war we started to take care of the temple, but it was too late. We are also very sorry for those issues. It is probably more than 2 km from Angkor Wat. Thank you very much for your feedback. ❤️

Ah yes, i forgot about the war you had in the past. I hope that those temples can be saved and really taken care of.

it is so nice to see the beauty of the ancient temples, and usually makes me curious about the life in the past.

This Ta Prohm has originally called "Reach Vihear", was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII in 1186.

It really seems to me that I too have become acquainted with this ancient historical installation. I like to see such historical monuments, because there are many historical monuments to be found here. I like the photographs.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. I am glad you like, I will share with you more if you enjoyed it.

This magnificent historical temple still kicking until these days. Can't wait for them to discover more about this. Maybe alien tech 😅

Yes, it is still standing until now. Yes, maybe alien technology. Have a good day.

Beautiful detailing the masons did on the temple and I think that if they would ever try to cut the trees away from the temple, that the structures would crumble and fall.

Yes, this is also the reason why they do not cut down those trees. Thank you 😊

I would love to see the temples one more time before we leave in a few months. I bet it's quite nice now without the hordes of tourists.

There are tourists coming to visit every day, it just is not as much as before the disease of COVID-19. I hope see you in Cambodia someday. Thank you for your comment. Have a wonderful day.

I would love to visit there again. Well, we were a little lost at that time. I don't know if I used to go there before but I think I went there 2 times.
