Attending a Community Event

Every year, mostly the month of December we are gathered here in the barangay plaza to talk about the status of the water system here in our barangay. You have seen in my previous blogs that we have an unlimited supply of water here in our place, and this organization is responsible for that.

We belong in a community that thinks about the progress of everyone, and that's what I love living here aside from fresh air and beautiful surrounding.

We are just a small Irrigation Organization, we are only a 200 plus member. As you can see life here is just simple but people are contented.

One purpose of this meeting is to select officers for the coming year, every organization needs leaders to guide the direction of the organization and were glad we have this people willing to do it for free.

We don't have much discussion since almost no problem arises. we just conduct this annual event to make sure our plans are laid out properly to all members to make sure we are all in the same page.

And one of the most awaited part of this event is the lunch. We do this in a very traditional way. Everyone just fall in line , each is given a plate full of rice and a big slice of meat. We eat with our bare hands since we have a lot of water to wash it. Eating this way makes the food better , believe me try it.

And we all thanked God for a successful community event, may he continue to guide this organization and continue to use it to guide us in making this community prosper.
