Well some of us are already been here and take pictures in this wonderful park In Manticao, Misamis Oriental. Last day, I decided to visit this Municipality for valid and important reasons and I take a visit this Public Park Also. Back when I was a kid at the age of 8, I always passing this place from school and sometimes me and my classmates are having dun eating with our Lunch here in this Fountain.

That time, this fountain was built with no metal fence around. And there are no concrete pathways in this place before. People are getting muddy and dusty the time when they also decided to visit the place. As the many years has passing by, the Public park are already developing. There are many concrete pathways already and metal fence around the fountain. There are lots of changes happens in this place for many, many years has passing by.

Andres Bonifacio's Statue:

There are two parts of the Public plaza, the first area is were the Water fountain built and placed and the Second one is the place were the two great statue are put on. The First statue can be seen here is Bonifacio's Statue. This is one of the National heroes who fought for the freedom of the country. It is decorated with chunks of rocks and a concrete stairs at the middle. People can climb up here taking a picture of the great overview. It surrounds with concrete pathways so that people will not getting muddy or dusty.

Description:

  • Andres Bonifacio's left hand holding a flag of KKK [ Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangan Katipunan ], a group of people who fought the colonizers.
  • His Right hand was also holding a bollow and he was raising his hands and ready to fight.

Dr. Jose P. Rizal's Statue:

This is the Statue of Dr. Jose P. Rizal and this is also one of the National heroes here in the country. He also fought the colonizers using his novel, pen, pluma. It was also decorated with many pretty and ornamental plants and a concrete pathways that surrounds the Statue. There are also lots of trees planted here in the public plaza. Many different kinds of town occasions are being held here just like town fiesta and foundation day. They also offered flowers in this two statues during their anniversaries.

Description:

  • A series of books on his left side and it represents the Noli me Tangere and El Felibusterismo books.
  • He was also holding a book of "mi Ultimo Adios" or last farewell and the "La Solidaridad", a kind of news papers.
The Series of big letters named "Manticao":

This are the series of letters made of concrete and it is formed a name Manticao. I already seen this kind of structures in different Municipalities or place and this is perfect so that we can easily know the name of the Place. Each letter coated with different colors and it is lighted every evening to make it more attractive. I really amazed and salute those workers or builders who build this statues and they are really creative.

Manticao Public plaza is one of the fascinating place I went and the residents of the town are very happy to have this wonderful place. This is the favorite place I went and I hope it will keep developing for the next Generation.

I have never visited your country, but I am familiar with your part of the Philippines through other Hivers. I don't think I have ever seen anyone share a post about this park though. It looks like there a few shady benches to pass the time during hot parts of the day, a very nice place to escape to.
