The soil looks good for planting but it's troublesome during harvest season. Walking alone on those sticky thick mud is troublesome. I can just imagine the difficulty walking through it carrying something heavy.
They carry it with a burden on their backs weighing 50 - 70 kilograms
I grew up doing similar work and I doubt that weighs more than 35 kgs. The rice husks are light and they take the majority of the space.
And regarding the wages they receive only $ 1 American and even then they have to transport it a distance of 500 m, this is tiring work.
1 USD for the whole 5 - 6 hours of work? That's really cheap.
Anyways, keep up the great work. I know how physically challenging to do this kinds of work.
