As we arrived at the areas were many mangrove trees grows, we noticed that some of it already grows tall and most of it are inhabited by marine animals just like crabs and sea shells. This place was once an open wide beach and there was still no any mangrove trees can be seen at the coastal areas. But now, almost 3,000 Mangrove trees planted here and all of it grows very healthy and taller. We also picked some garbage things and put in the sack, my elder sister's friends brought some sticks and tied those leaning mangrove plants so that it wont flash away by big waves.
After a few hours of doing the activities, they decided to take a rest for a little while and after that they decided to play volleyball. Not all of the place contains rocks, there are also parts of the place that have sandy areas perfect for any kinds of games just like volleyball.
This is one of the beach place located near at the Mangrove preservation areas. The beach contains tons of sands and a perfect for swimming activities. First they put a volleyball nets tied together in two bamboo poles. I was very amazed watching how beautiful the areas was it addens the coolness and attractiveness of the place this crystal clear sea water and a blue sky reflecting to the water. The waves was very calm and there was no string winds happens in the place. The sun shines very bright and splashing of sea water can be heard. I was very enjoyed at the place because of the beautiful sceneries I've seen while my Elder sister was very enjoyed playing volleyball game together with her Friends. It takes a few hours at the beach, and we decided to proceed at the compound to do Urban Gardening.
Urban Gardening:
We proceed to the compound were my elder Sister worked, here the activities was all about Urban Gardening, they planted more seedling vegetables in a recycled empty containers and jars. There are also lots of polythelene plastic bags used for planting sprouts or seeds. They also used a compost soil so that the plants can grow healthy even without any synthetic fertilizers. They are so very busy plating Pechay sprouts at the plastic bags while others cleaning the areas were this bags will placed.
When this vegetables will grow in stable, it will give to different places in Iligan and planted in the Public garden were everyone can get for their meals. This can help so that they can't buy expensive vegetables at the market. Those sprouts planted in the plastic bag are the pechay sprouts and it will transferred to other place by next week. I was having a lot of fun time helping those activities and gladly it was ended successfully. Thank you for visiting and reading my post, have a nice day everyone.
