I was very excited to find out that the library was free to access and at the same time I also needed to rest and charge my dying cell phone. When I entered, the library was only visited by a handful of people. Maybe this library would be crowded on weekends only or something, I didn't know. I hurried to find a seat with a power outlet to charge my phone.
Although it's not too big, the library is very nice and tidy. The arrangement of the benches and shelves made the narrow room look spacious. I saw two computer units and intended to write at least two articles until my phone was full. But apparently, I had to register as a library member to get access to the computers. I decided against it, and instead opened my journal to start writing.
While relaxing, resting and journaling manually was a great way to enjoy a break. The library is located at the back of the museum, so the noise from motorized vehicles isn't too noticeable.
Even though I'm not a member, I still fill out the attendance list as a track record as well as data collection for the library management. While writing, I reflected on this trip, such as even though the weather was erratic and often collided with rain, I was still grateful because the trip was still enjoyable. You received a lot of new experiences.
You know the funny thing about writing in this library? I miss someone far away. The last time we met was two years ago. We had to be separated because she moved for work. Even so, I still communicated well with her. We kept each other updated on our lives.
At that time, I also wrote in my journal hopefully that she and I would meet again. I missed her. Very much. If there was no distance, would we have met more often? Maybe not. But most likely yes. Because we had shared memories of a place in the south of Jakarta.
I was there for more than thirty minutes, and my cell phone charge was finished. I hurriedly packed up my things, unplugged my cell phone, and said goodbye to the library staff with a huge thank you. However, finding a comfortable and safe place during an emergency (low cell phone charge) was very nice.
Thank you for reading my travelogue in Yogya. See you in my next travelogue.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
