Siam Reap is Cambodia is another some country that i have visit during those 2 years solo travel. I have write a little bit about Cambodia in my previous post . Cambodia is very popular with all the temple and stupa that being build century ago. I still remember one of very popular movie by Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider has been record in Ta Prohm temple , Seam Reap.
Even though most of the people here practice Buddhism , but there is some majority people practice other religion like Muslim. So , you dont have to worry to come and visit Cambodia because you ll found a lot of restaurant serve halal food.
In on of my trip here, i have visiting Tonle Sap , Siem Reap. Since i was near a large lake , most of people in in Tonle Sap work as fisherman.
Some of them , still making house on the river. And only come to land selling fish that they get .
For what i can see , they still live in poverty. The environment is not clean and full of waste . The kid was playing around unmanaged .
Some picture around neighborhood :
Poverty is not just a small or third country problem . But we can find it everywhere. While poverty can highly lead to criminal. The only thing that can solve poverty problem is education . Second , is a help from the government to develop program for those people whose in need. But , it was very sad to know that when people got the power, education , and intelligence , some will become corrupt and those corruption lead for un ending poverty .
With this awareness , we heard many ASEAN country especially the youngster start fighting the corrupt government by making public awareness and demonstration. It is not easy to fight those who have money and power , but i believe they do that for future generation.
ABOUT THE TRAVEL
Few years back before pandemic , Im was lucky enough to travel solo in most places in ASEAN about 2 years . It was a full of good memory and great experience to learn the different culture, language and religion . I make a lot of new friend which has become my best buddy until now.
I going back to my country in Malaysia after my travel insurances was expired . When i come back to my home town , i share my experience in photography and taking picture for my fulltime job. The pandemic hit my country hard and all the photographer has no job until now , which give me much time to write about my travel journey in travelfeed.io for my documentation.
Previously i share my story in another community , but recently i realize that i should share my story in @asean.hive community which tell more story about ASEAN people and a lot picture to be share. I also allocated a little percent of every story beneficiaries to giving back for the community.
Looks great. I was just recently here last month.
We went through during dry season and I was amazed at how low the water was. There was also a recent COVID outbreak in town so the army was there and we weren't allowed to interact with the people in the town.
It was one of my most memorable excursions living in Cambodia for the past two years.
wahh let me know if you write about it , i also really want to know what happening there during the covid

Those are the poor people, they are work so hard for their life and their children. Thank you for share the photos and your experience in Cambodia with us.
We got poor people everywhere in the world . This is the another bad side that every country want to fight , but some people want to continue this happen to make the balance in their country which i found bad because i believe everyone has to treat equal .

You've got me missing Cambodia with the post. Shame I was never able to visit Tonle Sap much after they created a checkpoint for payments far from the entry road. Because of this, I would've had to pay the fee for foreigners each time I wanted to visit friends that lived past the checkpoint.
That was bad , not all traveler got the money . Some of them was stuck in certain country because dont have the money to move around and i know some of them. Most of country , especially the 3rd country try to get as much money they can from the tourist , but in the other side for us as traveler try to save as much money as we can.
