Greeting all,
How are you? I hope you have another awesome day today that is better than yesterday.
ANOTHER ORIGINAL FOOD FROM KOTA BELUD
A few days ago, I have talk about the original noodles soup, or "Mee Sup Kota Belud" , in my previous post. LINK HERE
Today I want to share another variation menu that is being made from Mee Sup, Kota Belud, which was also originally made from Kota Belud. The menu was called "Nasi Kicap," or ketchup rise. If we see it, it was just like chicken rice that is sold in any restaurant, but it was not just regular rice because it was another variation of Mee Sup Kota Belud.
We all know that ASEAN loves rice so much. The Nasi Kicap was made from the chicken that used to be used in Mee Sup Kota Belud. I told you it has the original taste, which was very different from the chicken rice, and it uses the ketchup that is used for Kolomen or noodle ketchup (another variation), and of course the soup is the same soup, so you will taste the Mee Sup Kota Belud. Here, what is special is that the rice that is being used is also the rice that is grown locally in Kota Belud. It smells good and makes you feel at home.
This is our lunch when we went to KOTA BELUD WEDNESDAY MARKET
Check this out , you can directly recoqnise it was another variation of Mee Sup Kota Belud.
It very easy to know that person was from KOTA BELUD . If he ask for fried onion for his any noodles soup , he was 90% from KOTA BELUD.
Look at the boss everywhere , i guess he was the highlight for today post also.
Here where we get our lunch . @bluekinabalu this is another spot where you can get halal meesup in wednesday or sunday.
Another tip is that the best mee sup kota belud has to be made by Dusun locals or any mix of Dusun, recommended by Sino, and if halal can also try them, who was SDA. I dont say others didn't make good mee sup, but sometimes end up the mee sup taste is like soto (especially for Muslims). Don't get me wrong, they do know how to make mee sup kota belud, but the cooking stuff is very limited, especially when they make soup. They always choose between their food specialty, Kota Belud soup or Soto, and end up with 50–50 choices for their soup. The dusun or Sino always go for mee soup, Kota Belud, because that is their specialty.
Here where we get our noodles soup.
The food cost RM 8 or around $3.20 which still cheapest option in any restaurant .
I told her we were still at the Wednesday market location. Like I said in my post yesterday, the market will close around noon. The vendors have already started to clean up and pack their stuff. You can check their daughter playing around with their vendor while waiting for her parents to finish packing.
Thanks for stopping by , i hope you enjoy today series. See you in another journey. Cheers.
