WATCHA COFFEE HOUSE
Today post was dedicated to my brother for successfully opening his new branch in town again. If you followed his story, he opened his coffee house before the COVID outbreak and had to close it because of that pandemic, just like most other small business owners.
During the pandemic, he has tried and errored many new recipes, especially coffee, tea, and chocolate products, and after doing a thousand combinations of local materials, he came out with his SIMO coffee product. The coffee has its own unique taste, and the most part of being a coffee lover is that he brings the best of the best taste of local coffee brew.
For some people, local coffee can't fight along the outside beans, which have the right conditions, like their perfect soil and climate, which make their coffee smell good and taste good, but the only downside is that it's very expensive, and not many people have the privilege to taste good coffee like that because it'll be expensive. But using the cheaper coffee, I'm proud of him for bringing the best taste of SABAH COFFEE with his original SIMO coffee. Trust me, I know how many secret ingredients are being used just to make 100 grammes of coffee.
Let's me give you a rough idea , how hard to get a perfect coffee taste . Since his degree background was from CHEMICAL ENGINEERS , i guess he has some calculations with the ingredients that i personally dont know .
If he want to do coffee taste A experiment which it will be mix with 5 basic ingredients , lets say it was A , B , C , D and E :
For Coffee taste A test 1 (100 gram ) , might combination of all the combination A , B , C , D and E with each of it 20 gram. Then the next one was test 2 same weight but this time A - 30 gram , B 10 gram , C , D and E 20 gram , and the Coffee taste A test will continue until he get the perfect taste , and can you imagine every single gram different will result different taste and that was only for taste A . That what he do during the pendamic outbreak which to get the perfect taste of it .
That is why after he opened his coffee house at our cousin land, many came and became his regulars because they wouldn't get the taste, and it became the signature taste of his coffee, and he didn't stop there; he continued improving the taste by doing further research on his coffee until he came with many recipes.
So , around 3 years pass by since he opened his coffee house at our cousin piece of land at our village , now he expanding his coffee house at town . It was a small kiosk but i believe he was ready for bigger market cause he has his own loyal customer who will support him not as just regular customer but as a friends .
REBRANDING FROM SIMO TO WATCHA
WHY REBRANDING ?
As one of martial art practitioner , he believe that one of his market was from this community. He was one of coach for martial art and with this name everytimes they say "WATCHA" during fighting is another free marketing for him , plus one of his CHOCOLATE ENERGY DRINK has been hit to this community which give them 200 % energy boost during training and fight . For long term , he intends to used this platform for marketing as their team main sponsor in every tournament. For long run , this brand can go far just doing along with his passion.
But , dont worry because SIMO branding still go on at the first branch near our house which was at my cousin places.

It must have been really challenging doing some trial and error to achieve the perfect cup of coffee and tea to offer. But in the end, he succeeded and has grown the business he built. Hoping for a more successful story on this coffee house. ☕
