Hello fellow hivers it's me again toniagurl. Hoping everyone is doing well. Today's blog I would join the community challenge, ASEAN Chef:Coconuts. I made some snack it is called LINUYANG or LINUSAK in our province. It is very common, easy to prepare, simple but delicious and nutritious snack.
Ingredients:
- Saba Banana
- Grated Coconut
- Brown Sugar
Preparation:
In a clean pot boil the banana for 20 minutes until well cooked.
Smashed the banana very well
Mix the grated coconut
Put sugar according to your taste preference
Ready to eat
I am thinking what I will cook to join this week challenge, when I took my daughter to her school yesterday, I saw a banana in a vegetable store, it came to my mind I will make a linuyang.
When I got home luckily my son is sleeping so I quickly went to our farm to find some coconut, I'm so glad that I saw coconut on the ground. The coconut is in the middle of our farm.
This is the way going to our farm, it's in the mountain during rainy season this pathway is very slippery. It is very difficult to carry our crop or vegetable if it is rainy.
This is the view when I'm in top going to our farm. It is tiring when I climb but is worth it if you're up there. I feel relaxed, the fresh air is so refreshing. Today has a clear blue sky, I had a good exercise this day, I burn some calories.
While preparing the coconut my daughter is very happy because there was an embryo when we open the coconut fruit.
When I grate the coconut, my daughter is very curios she wants to try, so I let her try for a second.
I used wood when I boiled the banana. Mostly are using woods when they cooked their food, some are using stove but only few because the gas range is very expensive.

One of my favorite snacks @ 3pm in the afternoon banana mashed but if we called it in our native language as "Luyang/Linuyang" the yummy food have good benefits to our body. Next time,I will try to cook banana mashed "Luyang". By the way I love the areas of yours, Its so relaxing, also the view a quite naturally greeny views and mountainous terrain.
