Fresh Tilapia Fish for Lunch; a Time Wonderfully Shared

Happy new Year, Hivers! How are you all? How was your 2025 so far? I hope everything is good. As for me, it was good and I feel so blessed.

For today's blog I am going to share with you the amazing lunch we had on one of the last days of 2024 when we paid our friend a visit to his place.

Biboy was my mother in-law's border way back in pre pandemic times, we became friends and had gotten very closeand the rest is history. We share interest in things like farming and more and now fishing. He ince asked ideas about fishing and now he already had his own Tilapia farm and that's where we're going.

My eldest daughter was with us that time since she did not join my mother going to church and she was very happy to have joined us.

I drived us to Biboy' s place and it was already a bit hot, thanks to the clouds that give us temporary shelter fromthe scorching sun; it was already 10 am that time.

Thankfully we arrived safely and Biboy was already waiting for us. The wife was right that it was better that I had a flat tire before our walk that day.

Soon after we made haste in going downhill to his fishpond where my kids were very entertained. They even asked if they could go swim but unfortunately, they can't to avoid stressing the fish

Biboy had a bungalow in his pond and that's where we cooked the fish after our harvesting them. I cleaned the fish while we were cooking rice and then Biboy and I took turns in frying the fish. It was a bit of a challenge since he doesn't have a frying pan to use. However, grilling was easy because we used coffee plant sticks to help us grill on the fire.

We fried and grilled and feasted on the fresh Tilapia fish we using banana leaf and our hands as our plate and spoon. But @eylii was smart and decided to use chopsticks which she asked me to make.

The fresh fish taste very sweet, dipped in soy sauce! Nothing is better experience than this.

Now that we are full and thunders are signalling us to go, we climbed uphill and I was carrying the pail where the fish were. We brought some for Biboy's parents and I am bringing some to our home as well.

It was a very wonderful experience to be, too bad my second born was not able to come with us that day she would have enjoyed going to the pond too but anyway, we will be returning to the pond for sure.

We thanked Biboy and went home to avoid the rain but thankfully, rain did not come at all.

I really like the natural environment that you live in. We don't have much nature where I am and I kind of miss it!

I used to live in the city as well and came back to my life in the mountains, though it's already populated already unlike before

Thanks for taking us with you that day, Dy. It was indeed a wonderful experience
