One tiring day I came home and found the saddest news that made me even more tired. Two of my biggest babies died due to drowning and it just makes me very sad.
This happened a few months when I was working on the farm on a very hot and tiring day and the electric provider had to cut off the power supply for a day for their line maintenance in preparation forthe coming typhoons in the country which were forecasted by the weather specialists.
My aquarium was big and deep enough for the koi dish to dwell, there are only a few of them in there and I had been keeping them for over a year, I was happy with the outcome because I thought I finally made it. There was a very long time where I never experienced mortalities and then the day came and two of the biggest was lost.
It turned out that my kid's cousins overfed the fish ny putting in too much fish food, polluting the water and caused the fish to die. They would have survived a few hours without aereators and moving water thru the water pump if the water quality was better.
I learned hard on this experience and now I hid the fish food and the wife told the kids not to feed the fish without our supervision. It was a great loss I had and it really shattered my heart.
I would have been furious but I chose to be calm, besides the kids did not know wht they had done, perhaps their intention was good yet it resulted me to lose the fish I had been taking care of.
