Hello, Hive community. Today I will introduce to you a kind of result that we Vietnamese people like very much but not everyone can eat it, even some people can't stand their smell. That is the result alone. Have you ever tried durian results?
1.Origin of durian fruit
Durian is a tropical fruit, native to Southeast Asia and most used in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
What people are most impressed with about this fruit is that they have a very strong and heavy smell. Therefore, only a small part of Vietnamese people can eat this fruit, including me.
People who can eat it will find it very fragrant, if they eat a lot, they will become addicted, and those who can't eat it will find its smell rotten and difficult to eat.
2. The great nutritional value of durian
We have to admit one thing Durian has great nutritional value. It can replace the daily meal. This fruit is rich in vitamins, fiber, and plant compounds that have health benefits. According to the report of Vinmec hospital. In 243 grams of durian will provide:
Calories: 357
• Fiber: 9 grams
• Carbs: 66 grams
• Fat: 13 grams
• Protein: 4 grams
There are also Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Thiamine, Potassium, Manganese, Riboflavin, Folate, Niacin…. Thanks to this nutritional profile, durian has become one of the most nutritious fruits in the world. Besides, it also contains beneficial plant compounds such as carotenoids, anthocyanins, polyphenols, and flavonoids.
So eating durian will bring a lot of health benefits: prevent heart disease, prevent cancer, regulate blood sugar, infection prevention.
3. Durian fruit in Vietnam
In Vietnam, durian is concentrated in some provinces such as Tien Giang and Ben Tre because only the soil and climate there can grow the most delicious durian varieties. Then durian is transported to consumption throughout the country and exported to foreign countries. The price of durian usually ranges from 4$ to 10$ / 1 kg, the smallest durian must also be 3 kg. So the price of an average durian is about 20$-25$. Durian is often sold in markets and supermarkets, but the place I buy most is street fruit stalls like this.
This is also an interesting point of Hanoi. Selling fruit on the sidewalk is very popular, the sellers often ride motorbikes and carry a large amount of fruit. They move to crowded places and stop there to sell fruit
To eat durian is not easy. The structure of the durian is large and has many external spines. We need to remove the peel and eat the citrus inside. So every time I go to buy durian I ask the seller for help. Here are the steps the seller takes to add durian.
)
The seller separates each durian in turn. A durian usually has 4 such big segments
In addition to eating directly, durian can also make smoothies, ice cream, and dishes from durian are also very popular. Durian is a very delicious fruit, you should try it, it may be difficult for you to eat at first, I have been, but the second time you will feel its charming deliciousness. Please learn to eat, not eating this fruit is a waste :))))
Hi! This is very popular here in Krabi, Thailand as well. I have tried to like it, I really have... but I think this is one of those fruits that you either love it or hate it. For me the smell is just too off-putting but the other staff at my school and at the clinic really love it.
Don't be afraid of it by its smell. Please eat it. Eat for the 3rd time you will feel delicious. I used to be like that too 😁

tokens. My family loves durian, and we used to live in Kampot, Cambodia, a famous place for durian fruit, and we even have a big durian statue in the middle of the town. For me personally I like jackfruit much more, but my family doesn't like it so much.
Strangely though it is the taste of durian I don't like, but the smell I find pleasing.
You are very special. Normally, if anyone doesn't like to eat durian, they will never like the smell of them 😁
