Two days before Christmas all I want is to be able to finish all my blog in Hive 😊. Hive is a big help for me and my family. Everyday, every week is a story to share. If we'll ever succeed in life you will all witness how.
Today's post is my entry to sir @justinparke community challenge. Farm to table is the most healthiest vegetables and fruits we could ever have. Imagine you babysit a seedling and wait for a couple of months to harvest the fruit of you're hard work. Living in the water world didn't stop us from planting in lands. My aunt was kind that she let us used his vacant place near the road.
My husband plant; bitter gourd, chili, bottle gourd and sweet camote.
It fastly grow because my son water it daily. Every week my husband put insecticide and vitamins for the plants.
I remember when our place was not yet filled by water. My husband has a lot of plants. He used to sell the fruit to her grandmother. My aunt amaze my husband because after school he'll went directly to his garden to check all his plants. It was all healthy he takes care of it because he knows that he'll be rewarded when his hands are gentle to the plants. In the province I taste freshly cooked veggies. They are sweet like candies I never expected that, because I had phobia eating the veggie mom bought in Manila. When she bought she'll put the excess in the reff, days after it will taste bad. But here after picking the veggies you can cooked in the style you wanted.
I never expect that bitter gourd will be my favorite vegetables. For me it's the sign of aging lol 😅. But I don't know I love the way of its being bitter, specially when my husband cooked it with liver.
I took the photos while @katsuki29 is picking sweet camote leaves for our breakfast. The advantage of having a lot of plants is; you'll save a lot of money. And you can even sell it too. But after my husband worked in Manila he just wants us to give the veggies to our neighbors.
I want to the harvest day to be special so I took a selfie while on our extra garden. Now we were force to stopped because the soil/land that we'd used is not anymore the property of my aunt. Some of our plants was forced to die 😔. Good thing we we're able to share the fruit of our hard work before the plants say there good byes.
Thank you for reading
