What's up ASEAN Buddies..
Some time ago, I had a business in the Central Jakarta area. When I finished my main business, I decided to stop by Sarinah Mall because it was not far even though I walked. I wanted to have lunch at one of the restaurants in Sarinah the mall because there is my favorite resto there. After spending about 10 minutes of walking, I finally arrived at Sarinah Mall. I was greeted by a stage displaying mannequins dressed in batik.
It was really interesting.
It was the Nusantara Batik Stage.
Because I was curious, I looked around for a while even though my stomach was a little hungry. So, that day there is a batik bazaar was being held. There would be several fashion designers exhibiting their work. The designers were Mohamad Falahy, Hartono Sumarsono, Dudung Ali Syahbana, Afif Syakur.
As you can see from the photos below, the clothes were designed by these designers.

In addition, types of batik in Indonesia were also exhibited, such as Batik Warisan which has a batik technique using a traditional tool called canting. There is also Batik Tambal, which focuses on triangular motifs. The last one is Batik Sapuan, which is a type of batik that has intricate details. Usually Batik sapuan is created for fashion consumption so that its manufacture emphasizes a soft texture.

Batik itself is a typical Indonesian clothing. Its manufacture is widely carried out in several regions such as Pekalongan (which is also called the city of Batik), Yogyakarta, Solo, Banjarmasin, and Kudus. Each region has its own uniqueness in creating batik motifs.
