Hello my loving Asean Hive community,
Welcome back to my foodie new blog. Long time no see my friends. The reason I haven't been writing posts is because my health has deteriorated again. I had to cut back on my screentime due to my nervous breakdown. Now that I'm back to being a good person, my posts will be back to normal. Today I'm not going to post a DIY handmade post but I'm going to share a salad recipe.
Today I will share how to make century egg salad. Actually, I don't like the taste or smell of century egg salad at all. Today is our Karen New Year's Day in Myanmar, so my friend's work is also closed. So she came to me today and made a century egg salad for me in a way that doesn't taste too bad and the smell of that egg is mild. Below are the steps to make the century egg salad she made for me.
Let's get started.
🥚Ingredients🥚
- century egg
- cabbage
- tomato
- chili
- oil
- bean powder
Where I live now, prices are very high and products are scarce. Today my friend and I had to search all over the city for the century egg. I only got 3 eggs and that 1 egg cost 1000 Kyats.
First, my friend washed 3 century eggs with water. Then I removed all the shells. Inside is a jelly-like egg.
Then she washed the jelly-like century eggs again with water.
She also washed 2 tomatoes, some cabbage and some chilies. Now it is ready to make the salad.
In the next step, my friend cut the century eggs into small pieces as appropriate. She also cut small pieces of cabbage, tomato and chilies into the dish.
Then my friend added a little oil, a little salt, and a little bean powder to the bowl and mixed it all together.
In the final step, she picked some parsley from my garden, washed it and garnished it on top of the salad.
Making century egg salad this way doesn't taste too bad, and the width isn't too bad because of the addition of parsley. How do you cook and eat century eggs in your area? I'll see you soon in a new post. Have a nice day.
looks very delicious
