As a teenager, I had a favorite delicacy - avocado. I could eat unlimited amounts of it. My hosts often added it to my diet because of the high amount of minerals and vitamins it contained.
They thought this fruit was good for me. But after a while it turned out that for cats, avocado can be poisonous from the substance it contains (persin).
It can cause gastrointestinal problems, breathing problems, or even heart problems.
And the avocado disappeared from my diet.
