Aloha Surflimpo fam! What's up?
As agreed, we will bring here a summary of our weekly Surflimpo Community meetings. If you haven't read our last summary, check it out here.
Our meetings are being held weekly, and are more of a "community meeting". We are bringing news, partner projects to present themselves and leaving space for questions and suggestions.
As not everyone can participate, we will publish a "Surflimpo Community Meeting Summary" here and on our Discord, so you can stay on top of what's happening.
The Surflimpo Community Meeting takes place every Wednesday from 2 to 3 pm (Brazilian Standard Time, UTC-03:00) via Google Meet (access the meeting link here) and is held in PT-BR. Everyone is invited!

1. Presentation of Plástico Precioso - ES
Plástico Precioso - ES (@preciousplastes) presented its project "Community on board", which consists of the construction, installation, and operation of eco-barriers on the Aribiri River in Vila Velha - ES, promotes environmental education, produces audiovisual content connecting big waves polluted by plastics surfed by the NXF group and Surfguru employees, in addition to promoting the work of cleaning the rivers and transforming the collected plastic into recycled and useful products for everyday life such as key chains and cup holders.
The project expects to educate people about the impact of waste on society and the environment. Its partners are our community Surflimpo (@surflimpo), Surfguru, Route, Detrash, and Precious Plastic Global. The idea is to implement the Comunidade a Bordo project within Surflimpo in the future. The biggest challenge is the bottleneck of receiving the material and being able to build a circular chain and connect those who are producing waste with those who are recycling.
We invite everyone to visit the Precious Plastic website (https://preciousplastic.com/) to encourage more people to get into recycling.
2. WorldPackers and Beach Clean-ups presentation
Worldpackers made an institutional presentation during the meeting, explaining who they are and how they act through beach cleaning actions.
Worldpackers is an online community that connects projects worldwide with volunteers who provide services and exchange these services for meals and accommodation. It is a speedy way to acquire experience, where on the one hand, the traveler gains this experience, and, on the other hand, the hosts promote an impact on the local community.
The Beach Clean Ups are one of those experiences that Worlpackers offers, which has been adding a change in people's thinking about living these experiences with local communities. Learn more: https://www.worldpackers.com/
3. Presentation of the Surflimpo community
As some people were not present at the other meetings or knew little about the community, we made a brief presentation of the community on the Cambiatus platform. We present the objectives and actions, how to make a claim, that anyone can make an offer within the platform to sell a product or service, etc.
4. Agendas for the next meeting
For the next meeting, we will talk about Hive, a platform that gives rewards for posting content. Surflimpo will have its profile, and we welcome suggestions and posts about our actions and community.

The Surflimpo Community was created to take care of the oceans. We are a community of surfers, sea sports enthusiasts, biologists, students, and nature lovers - we all have some kind of connection to the sea that unites us. Como combinado, vamos trazer aqui um resumo dos nossos encontros semanais da Comunidade Surflimpo. Se não leu o nosso último resumo, veja aqui.
Nossas reuniões estão sendo feitas semanalmente, e são mais um "encontro da comunidade". Estamos trazendo novidades, projetos parceiros para se apresentarem e deixando espaço para dúvidas e sugestões.
Como nem todos podem participar, vamos pubicar aqui e no nosso Discord um "Resumo da Reunião da Comunidade Surflimpo" para que vocês fiquem por dentro do que está acontecendo.
A Reunião da Comunidade Surflimpo acontece toda quarta-feira das 14 às 15h (Horário de Brasília / UTC-03:00) pelo Google Meet (acesse o link da reunião aqui) e são feitas em PT-BR. Todos estão convidados!

1. Apresentação da Plástico Precioso - ES
A Plástico Precioso - ES (@preciousplastes) apresentou seu projeto “Comunidade a bordo”, que consiste na construção, instalação e operação de ecobarreiras no rio Aribiri em Vila Velha - ES, promove educação ambiental, faz a produção de conteúdo audiovisual conectando ondas grandes poluídas por plásticos surfadas pelo grupo NXF e colaboradores do Surfguru, além de promover o trabalho de limpeza dos rios, e transformar o plástico recolhido em produtos reciclados e úteis para o dia a dia como chaveiros e porta-copos.
O que se espera do projeto é educar as pessoas quanto ao impacto do lixo para a sociedade e o meio ambiente. Tem como parceiros a nossa comunidade Surflimpo (@surflimpo), o Surfguru, a Route, a Detrash, e a Precious Plastic Global. A ideia é implantar o projeto Comunidade a Bordo dentro do Surflimpo no futuro. O maior desafio é o gargalo de receber o material, e conseguir construir uma cadeia circular e conectar quem está produzindo resíduo com quem está reciclando.
Convidamos todos a conhecerem o site da Precious Plastic (https://preciousplastic.com/), pra estimular que mais pessoas entrem na reciclagem.
2. Apresentação WorldPackers e Beach Clean-ups
A Worldpackers fez uma apresentação institucional durante a reunião, explicando quem eles são e como agem através das ações de limpeza de praia.
A Worldpackers é uma comunidade on-line que conecta projetos no mundo com voluntários que oferecem serviços e trocam esses serviços por refeições e hospedagem. É uma forma muito rápida de adquirir experiência, onde de um lado o viajante ganha essa experiência e, do outro, os anfitriões promovem impacto na comunidade local.
Os Beach Clean Ups são uma dessas experiências que a Worlpackers oferece e que vem agregando uma mudança de pensamento das pessoas vivenciando essas experiências com comunidade locais. Saiba mais: https://www.worldpackers.com/pt-BR/
3. Apresentação da comunidade Surflimpo
Como algumas pessoas não estavam presentes nas outras reuniões ou conheciam pouco ainda a comunidade, fizemos uma breve apresentação da comunidade na plataforma da Cambiatus. Apresentamos os objetivos e ações, como se faz uma reivindicação, que qualquer pessoa pode fazer uma oferta dentro da plataforma para vender um produto ou serviço, etc.
4. Pautas para a próxima reunião
Para a próxima reunião vamos falar sobre a Hive, plataforma que dá recompensas para postagem de conteúdos. O Surflimpo vai ter seu próprio perfil e aceitamos sugestões e posts sobre as nossas ações e nossa comunidade.

A Comunidade Surflimpo foi criada para cuidar dos oceanos . Somos uma comunidade de surfistas, praticantes de esportes no mar, biólogos, estudantes, e amantes da natureza - todos nós temos algum tipo de conexão com o mar, que nos une.
