tickets are over $1,000) the only way to get one is to buy it.
Unless they're giving an 8k$ figure to everyone that came to the expedition, you might still pay 1k$ and still not be able to actually win or get any of them since there are also other people who will be present and vying to get their hands on the rare figure as well.
Apparently this one was a raffle where you bought a ticket, not sure how much the ticket for the raffle was though. Comic-Con is at a huge venue with thousands of people in attendance, so no guarantees you'll walk away with anything other than pictures and memories are pretty low! I've never considered going personally, I hate crowds...
Hahaha I think going to the Con is probably for the vanity and memories alone. If I were rich then I won't mind going, but then just like you, I don't like the crowd either.
A lot of people go for that and they are hard core fans of particular show or comic books. There are always a lot of celebrities there signing autographs and participating in panels. It might be fun, but the crowd factor just turns me off!
I don't see the essence in taking photos with celebrities, although some people might have vanity for it, but I don't think that's for me anyway
I think it's stupid too, I've never done it and I've met several celebrities. With one had a nice 45 minute conversation, didn't ask for autograph or pictures. Some people seem to think celebrities are "special" I guess, there just people like you and me who worked hard and got lucky in their profession.
