Casi sin aliento, cuando me quedaban unos 15 o 20 escalones para dejar de respirar la humedad del túnel que abandonaba, me encontré con ella. He de confesar que no me lo esperaba, no era la hora en la que ella suele aparecer, era de tarde, y ella estaba sentada justo donde daban los últimos rayos de sol. Qué esperaba ella? La noche? O que yo le pasase por el lado? La oscuridad nunca iba a ser una opción para mí, así que no quedaba más remedio que enfrentarla a ella. Sigiloso, mientras ella ondulaba sus brazos y el velo blanco, fui avanzando de tres en tres escalones. Quiero fingir que no escuché nada cuando pasé por su lado, pero no puedo. La voz que salía de su cuerpo no correspondía con la delicadeza de sus gestos. Llegué a la luz sin mirar atrás. Me metí en mi auto y comencé a conducir, la noche caía como el velo de la aparición.
