Three weeks ago, Saturday, @abduhawab sent me a short message. He invited to take pictures while shopping takjil to break the fast at the Lhokseumawe market. It was a hot afternoon, I think the sun is very suitable for playing light on the object image, the afternoon.

We made a pact at Dr Coffee, the place where we used to hang out. After asar praying, he said. I arrived there early. Sit for a while and chat with some friends who are absorbed in playing WiFi and waiters who are tidying tables and chairs.

Ten minutes later, Bg Wahab - as I usually called him - arrived. We are leaving. Of course do not forget to wear a mask. The first location we went to was Lhokseumawe City Market.

We take pictures with happy and alert condition. We don't know, is Corona roaming this market? Sometimes, Bang Wahab stops, looking at food. Not infrequently we threw smiles at traders and joked. The sound of warning keeps the distance from the police car. The sun is shining on buildings in the market. Beautiful!

From this trip, I learned and concluded, the photographer will direct the camera in accordance with the purpose of taking pictures before leaving, or be influenced by the visual references he sees - if shooting aimlessly.

For example, during this pandemic, I often watched an Inframe program on AIR RANG TV - the name of a TV company in Korea - the event invited world photographers to take pictures in Korea. This AIR RANG assignment records the photographer's journey; when frame and interact with the subject. Photographers who were present were almost the average members of Magnum Photo. But, one of the episodes I like is when David Alan Harvey - who is also a member of Magnum Photo - shoots in Incheon, the gate of Korea. In the video, Harvey shoots calmly and in detail looking at uniqueness, as well as the peak moments of human expression. He tends to photograph people with a variety of cultures; clothing, food and buildings.

That said, during this pandemic, I often paid attention to his works and that was slightly affected by the results of my photos. That is, what I mean is a photographer can be influenced by references he sees or from there he can find other interesting angels.

In photographing this, I have intended to photograph the city of Lhokseumawe with its architecture and the people around it. Corona outbreak makes people worry. All the arrangements have changed a little.
