So just to be clear, I am not a chess master in any for, in fact, I actually cannot play the game... no matter how hard I try to learn. Even with my not-so-love for the game, I do respect it and anybody that is able to play and beat the game. On holiday earlier this year there was a giant, life-size chess set and I had some fun photographing the giant pieces.
I am not going to lie, these pieces kind of felt a bit creepy to me, especially the horses, what is their chess name? Knights. Just look at those teeth and their large round eyes. I did not enjoy them very much, even though they are just plastic, inanimate objects. The piece just next to the "horse" always looks like someone screaming in pain to me, pretty disturbing. Screaming chess pieces!
For some reason, this giant black and white pieces and checkered board evoked a sense of wonder and inspiration in my mind and I thought I could share my pictures for the #monomad black and white competition.
So whether you are an avid chess player, an admirer of the craftsmanship of the game or simply don't care about chess at all, I hope you enjoyed my photos and gave you a new perspective of this century-old game.

Amazing monochrome pictures! I too don't know how to play chess even though I know o it's basic moves. Great job!
