Monomad: Lord Weevil

in Black And Whitelast year (edited)

I captured these earlier during an afternoon walk with my friends. We walked very leisurely with sharp eyes pointing towards the bushes. That's when I noticed this weevil, who seemed to be watching our every move. Instead of running away, he was calm enough to face the gigantic figure in front of him. Yeah, there's no reason for him to run away because it's his own territory, while we are foreign guests. I respect this guy as the lord of the territory. With great care, I approached him while smiling a friendly smile. He seems to understand that I want to be his friend. Even though we spoke in each other's languages, which we didn't understand, we immediately became friends. Immediately after that, I was free to take a few photos. The result is what you see here.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

All of the images here are my own work, taken with a Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.

I enjoy the fact that you can see the details so clearly, that's what I love most about macro photography. Excellent work!
