Monomad: Penetrate Hardwood

There are three things that can make holes in or penetrate hard objects like stone and wood: nails, raindrops, and mushrooms.

Mushrooms? Is it true that it can penetrate hard objects like wood? Maybe you think it's a joke. But to me it makes sense. Mushrooms are indeed soft things, but you will often see them sticking to hardwood. Yes, that's how nature with all the secrets behind it works.

I don't have to convince you with a scientific theory. I just want to convince you with the pics that are here.

Yes, as you can see how those soft little shrooms grow to stick out of the hardwood. Yes, it's such hardwood that I can't even scratch it.

Nothing prevented the Gymnopilus mushrooms from growing on the hardwood after a few days of rain. The only thing they lose naturally is when they are exposed to sunlight. They would shrink afterward, dry up, and die.
