Monomad: 'Walking on Air'

I caught a spider this morning in my yard. It performed impressive moves, so I was inspired to take a few pictures. I think it would make a great gym instructor. From its name (the stretch spider), you can tell it is perfect for this role. The stretch spider is one of the long-jawed orb-weaver species belonging to the family Tetragnathidae. They are commonly found in bushes and grasses. Most orb-weaver spiders build symmetrical webs, on the other hand, the stretch spider weaves a web that resembles rope access, allowing it to move around easily. With its long, stretching legs, this guy is perfectly camouflaged on the weed stems.
