Everybody knows that The Philippines is a country full of volcanoes, concretely around 300. Some of them, like the Mayon volcano are still active. Specially this one is one of the most active ones being the last eruption back in 2010. Just a few minutes away from Legazpi city, it has been for a while now a main tourist spot in the island.
I didn't have many days in The Philippines but I decided that I had to pay a visit. Even more when I found out that Donsol, another destination for whale shark watching was just a few hours by car.
There are several places to see this perfect shaped volcano from. The one I liked the most is from Sumlang Lake. There you have a very nice view of the volcano reflected on the water and many hamacas to chill.
On the main entrance you will learn a bit more of the history of the volcano while you can have something to eat in the nearby restaurants. Also, the perfect place if you want to buy some souvenirs.
Surrounded by flowers and vegetation, it was also a very beautiful spot to contemplate this majestic mountain.
Apart from this views, there was also a tour with quads that I didn't have the chance to do but that if I go back someday I will definitely do it.
