Monomad - Split Gills (Schizophyllum commune)

Schizophyllum commune. Fungi belonging to the Schizophyllaceae family are also known as "split gills" with a shape that resembles a Chinese fan.On today's #monomad challenge I want to share some photos of "grigit" mushrooms. Grigit is a popular name in Indonesia for this fungus which has the Latin name

Among several mushrooms that can be eaten, Schizophyllum commune mushroom is one of them, but the texture of this mushroom is not very pleasant to eat when compared to sago mushrooms. However, even though the texture is a bit hard, many people choose this mushroom for stir-fry, because even though the texture is not soft, the taste is quite delicious.

I found the split gill mushroom that I am sharing in an oil palm plantation area, this fungus grows on dry oil palm fronds. And I have uploaded several photos of this mushroom below, here are some photos:
