In many European cities there is a historical part of the city called the Old Town. As a rule, this is the area from which the whole city once appeared and grew. The Old Town has always played an important economic role for a modern city being a place of attraction for tourists from all over the world. For me, the name Old Town is associated, first of all, with the Greek city of Rhodes.
Во многих городах Европы есть историческая часть города называемая Старым Городом. Как правило, это район, из которого когда-то появился и вырос весь город. Старый Город всегда играет важную экономическую роль для современного города, являясь местом притяжения туристов со всего мира. Лично у меня, название Старый Город ассоциируется, в первую очередь, с греческим городом Родос.
Today I would like to share pictures taken in different years — in the pre-pandemic era, I managed to visit Rhodes several times. These are pictures of the inhabitants of the Old Town: locals, shopkeepers, restaurant workers, and tourists. I made black and white images on purpos trying to create an atmosphere that you get into when visiting the Old Town.
Сегодня я хотел бы поделиться фотографиями, снятыми в разные годы — в допандемийную эпоху я успел побывать на Родосе несколько раз. Это фотографии обитателей Старого Города: туристов, местных жителей, владельцев магазинов и работников ресторанов. Я специально сделал черно-белые изображения, стараясь создать атмосферу, которая обволакивает вас при посещении Старого Города.
The pictures were prepared in several stages: the choice of style and filters, processing in the Lightroom, as well as the subsequent imposition of a special filter with a bias for an old film — it seemed to me that there was no need for excessive sharpness in such photos.
Фотографии были подготовлены в несколько этапов: выбор стиля и фильтров, обработка в Лайтрум, а также последующее наложение специального фильтра с закосом под старую киноплёнку — мне показалось, излишняя резкость в таких фотографиях ни к чему.
