Hello Everyone.
Rice is one of the main ingredients of food especially for the people of Southeast Asia and other communities. Currently, the farmers here have not started planting in the fields, so we have to save food staples for the rainy season later. Usually at the end of the year where we will experience rain for several months. Generally, the people here always store basic food ingredients after harvesting, even if they are sufficient for several months. Before the rice milling process, this rice is stored in a dry room and has air ventilation so that the grain is not easily moldy and rots. When farmers need rice, the grain is milled to become good rice, but sometimes the results of milled rice depend on the size and shape of the grain.
Roughly one-half of the world population, including virtually all of East and Southeast Asia, is wholly dependent upon rice as a staple food; 95 percent of the world’s rice crop is eaten by humans. Rice is cooked by boiling, or it can be ground into a flour. Source
Storage of rice in burlap
After milling, people in the countryside store the rice in burlap to keep the temperature under control. If the rice storage method is wrong, it can cause high respiration so that the quality of the rice becomes poor.
