Impact in Lockdown

My entry for the #monomad challenge

So another set of images that I have been going thru. to keep me relatively sane in Lockdown. The government has just extended the total Lockdown for another two weeks here in Auckland as Delta variant infections soar. So no going to work ,no going out of the house except for medical or shopping, no contact with family or friends, able to exercise in our neighbourhood only. You in total Lockdown will know the feeling of so much limitation.
As I said going thru, my photos and going out for a daily walk with my camera is a kind of therapy in this crazy time. These images have been ones that to me have immediate impact. I hope you like them.

Dinosaur skeleton and shadow Auckland Museum. The uplights on the dinosaur made a great shadow and gives added menace to the awesome creature

Graffiti and scaffolding downtown Auckland. The rigid grid of the scaffolding makes a contrast
with rhe flowing shapes of the street art.

My reflection in an old-school retro film camera shop. A very multi dimensional image with lots going on. I love refections-thats what an image thru. a lens is after all. Old film cameras are making a come back as people see the quality of film over data.

A deep sea creature at a sea monsters exhibition Auckland Museum. This one has it's own lamp to navigate the very dark depths of the ocean-amazing!

Bridge5_edit_12046279650244.jpg

Graffiti on Grafton Bridge Auckland. When built in 1910 it was the largest single span concrete bridge in the world. It is still a very busy traffic route.

Exposed volcanic rock on island at low tide West Coast Auckland. This coast is bordered by rugged ranges and the often wild Tasman sea. The ravages of the sea and weather on this exposed island are evidence of the power of Nature.

I hope you enjoyed my images. For all of you in Lockdown-I feel for you.
