IN ADDITION to the development of various natural and cultural tourism destinations, agrotourism is now also an alternative in Aceh, as seen in Bireuen City. The people of Bireuen and its surroundings have a choice of tourist destinations that are now more varied, namely the vineyards in Gampong Cot Tarom Baroh, Jeumpa District.

Still in the perfection stage, the Vineyard in Bireuen is already full of visitors. This proves how much people want to enjoy artificial tourist destinations which are different from the forms of tourism known to the public. With a travel distance of around 5 minutes from the center of Bireuen City, the Vineyard can be a strategic choice in the midst of limited time.

Vineyard visitors are not only residents of Bireuen, but also from Lhokseumawe, North Aceh, Takengon, Sigli, Banda Aceh, and several cities in Aceh and even from Medan, North Sumatra who happen to be passing by or have other agendas. They were curious about the Vineyard after reading the news and seeing it on the Instagram account. Social media has now become a means of promoting tourist destinations which is quite effective in attracting visitors.

There, visitors can see 31 types of grapes whose seeds are imported from Europe and India. Developing new varieties with an agrotourism concept that is more comfortable for visitors is a necessity if we want to invite visitors to come and come again.

Unfortunately, at the Vineyard location, visitors can only view and take photos, apart from buying grape seeds to plant. There is no option to eat at places like agrotourism destinations outside Aceh.

Visitors must be patient waiting for the moment to be able to pick and eat grapes in the vineyard because it is still being developed, even though the land is very limited because it is in the middle of a residential area, not in an area specifically for vineyard development.

Apart from that, representative cafes and toilets must also be the focus of future planning.[]
