Hello hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry #monomad
My trip visited Asmat Village in Agats City, Papua. a city that is very unique because the buildings are made of wood and boards and the roads are caused by the muddy soil and full of swamps.
Getting to Asmat is not easy, starting from Jayapura Airport to Mozes Kilangin Airport in Timika, then I used a pioneer plane to fly to Ewer Airport in Agats, Asmat Regency.
Arriving at Ewer I still had to continue the journey by riding a long boat down the river for 30 minutes, on the way I saw mangrove forests that thrived along the river.
Arriving in Agats City, I saw all the infrastructure, starting from housing, offices and roads made of wood and planks with stilt construction.
The city of Agats does not stand on a plain but on a stretch of mud and marshes. The daily activities of its citizens are carried out on boards such as activities at the market, school, work, and sports.
Agats City is a pollution-free city, because the majority of its residents use electric motorized transportation, boats and walking.
What is unique about Agats is that there are no clean water wells, so residents have to rely on rainwater for bathing and cooking.
The city of Agats is still dubbed the city of a million boards, but now the board roads have been replaced with concrete roads.
